Moving an add-on domain to it's own hosting.

Excuse the noob question.

I have an add-on domain with shared hosting and want to move it to it's own hosting account with a different provider. At the moment there is a wordpress install with around 20 pages of content.

Current hosting and new host both provide cPanel. Is there an easy way to add the content automatically to the new hosting account via backups/cPanel? Or should I just install wordpress, copy the content across then switch nameservers?

Thanks in advance.

You can backup the site with the Backup manager in cPanel. I suggest to use the cPMove backup as it is a full backup. You will need to inform your new host of this and provide the files for him to upload as a full backup cannot be restored by an end user.
