The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
These codes both give $0.99 .com registrations and transfers and are valid for up to 3 domains:

gofa4004ha (US and Canada ONLY) - Just tested in UK but whilst it lets me enter the code and gives the discount for three .com transfers, the card payment won't go through - could someone in US or Canada please try?

cju99d (UK only) - Just tested in UK and WORKED on three .com transfers, total $3.51 including ICANN fee!

cju99d works in the US :D

That's not true. I just used it for a 2 year discount domain membership coupled with the groupon offer. Thanks for the code.

And yes, you can buy as many groupons as you want as long as you change cities. Same cc, same email. Just be sure to change cities.

It seems the redeem link for the groupon code is no longer working for people outside the US. If you go to http://www.godaddy.com/redeem/groupon.aspx it just redirects to the Godaddy home page for me since I'm not from America.
If I use the same link with an american proxy the groupon redeem page of Godaddy opens fine.

Maybe it's just a bug or Godaddy decided today to region lock the godaddy redeem page as well (it was working fine for me yesterday).

cju99d - Just tested in UK and WORKED on three .com transfers, total $3.51 including ICANN fee! Edit: whilst this is supposed to be for UK only, it's also currently working in the US and Canada and may also work in other countries. Definitely worth a try! Credit card and check only - no PayPal.

Still working in UK, thanks.

I have several comments about the GD GEO coupons:

1. When an earlier one didn't complete the transaction and said ring billing, I rang them and they put it right through no problem.

2 I noticed one code only seemed to work when I set the account currency to dollars.

3 The other day they were offering .info for 2.99 right on the front page of the site before you even log in - no coupon needed. But the transaction would not complete no matter what, and I got the message to ring billing. But after several minutes on the phone and them trying repeatedly to put it through it would not complete. Not a CC or Paypal prob - both working fine and tried both. The only advice GD could give was contact CC or Paypal, or try again in two hours. Two hours later it worked fine.

So I wonder if some of these geo probs are not tied to coupon codes.

GoDaddy $25 for $70 store credit or $10 for $30 +29% off - Groupon
Just saw this Groupon and tried it out to see if it worked on renewals, and it does. The Groupon is just a redemption code that can be applied to ANY Godaddy.com account. It is in-store credit so I am pretty sure it can be applied to anything.

$25 for $70 worth of website-building products

It CAN be used on renewals. AND the credit is applied to your account and CAN be used over many transactions.

Or 44% off domain renewal codes:

they all worked for me for three $0.99 ($1.17) domains each, meaning now I have 15 new domains that I need to develop, Bob knows how addictive domaining is, I should stop now (or he should stop releasing new codes now...)

If the coupon code gives a higher discount than the club price then you'll get the coupon code pricing.

If the coupon code gives a lower discount than the club price (for example a COM renewal with a discount code is $8.67, with the club it's only $8.37) then you'll get the club pricing.

So basically you'll always pay the cheapest price automatically.

On another note: Has anyone tried the following?

1. First get the groupon code mentioned above (pay $25 and get $70 of credit) and redeem it.

2. Then join the Godaddy discount club and at checkout use code LKSRTLMENT to make the yearly price of the DDC drop to $45 per year (instead of $90 per year).

3. Pay that $45 with your in-store credit. So you'll have $25 of instore credit left ($70-$45)

In other words you paid $25 for a groupon code and you end up with a 100% FREE godaddy discount club membership for a full year since you still have $25 of in-store credit left after you purchased the club membership.

note: code LKSRTLMENT only works for a new membership, not for renewing it, so this trick can only work if you're not yet a member of the DDC.

But the discount club fee is worth only if you reg hundreds of names each year...so for those who don't register many domains, they are better off using the Groupon discount for something else...I think.

Who else does godaddy give branded codes to?

I see fw for fatwallet, rtl for retailmenot, eb for ebates

anything with "scott" is from Scott Sigler Audiobooks (godaddy sponsors)

Anyone else?

well...not only that, but it seems that my newly created groupon account has been deleted after the purchase of the GoDaddy credit....(which I redeemed successfully) so I guess GoDaddy told Groupon to limit the deal to only US clients.

If they really wanted to sell the club, what they should do is a few times a year give a great discount that is only available to club members. I don't see anything special in there.

I got the club for a friend who is "coupon challanged" shall we say to be polite, after I saw them buy a domain and follow all the godaddy upsells and proceeded to buy five years at full price D-:

The club pricing came out to $38.56 for three years after the groupons and 50% discount. That's about $12.85 a year. That breaks down to $1.07. That alone makes it worth it to me.

The power of the discount club is in the renewals. There was and probably never will be a COM renewal code which is lower than what the discount club gives you (plenty of other domain extensions are cheaper to renew with the club as well but I'm mostly interested in COM).

The best COM renewal coupon code brings the price down to $8.67, with DDC I'm only paying $8.37.
30 cents savings per domain doesn't seem much but if you have a big portfolio to renew it's a no-brainer. I'm saving around $100 a year from having DDC, just from using it for renewals.

AGREED

Discount club extremely overrated and overpriced.

The renewals are equal with all these codes - PLUS i don't need to spend the registration fee i would need to actually join.

Pass!
