And now for something totally stupid:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/290794006243?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

From the owner, who I suspect is spamming everyone:

This domain name name is a shorter version of the hottest political domain of this week, Bindersfulofwomen.com which we wrote about several days ago as being registered by a Democratic Super Pace 90 seconds after the phrase was uttered by Mitt Romney in this weeks presidential debate.

It won't sell for $5, let alone 5 figures. But it's worth a laugh at how dumb some domainers are.

And no: I have no sympathy for ppl who hear a phrase, reg a domain for it, and try to get 4-8 figures from it. What use would this domain EVER have? It's not even the the exact phrase! The guy who regged it just wasted his money. To the idiot who regged this: yesbutididntinhale.com is available.

Best domain of the day!

It probably won't sell for $19,000 but for $5? Sure.

Are you saying (what the dems will say here) that women are only worth $5?

How dare you?

I'd pay $5 for a binder full of women but not for this domain lol

I don't have a binder full of women, but hidden away may be my black book from the old days.

But I get what you say about people hearing something and regging the domain in hopes of making scads of money.

I look at the scroller above namepros all the time and it amazes me what some domains sell for.
roamly.com at 10 grand?

This one, I would contact the Super Pac that bought the BindersFullOfWomen.com and have a site up. If you have even 1 marketing bone in your body, you should be able to make a little something out of it, people buy variations all the time.

WomenInsideBinders.com
GirlsInBinders.com
LadiesInBinders.com

All available to register you money hungry domainers.

Can you believe how many ppl regged bindersfullofwomen.ext? Noobs will say, "This shows it's a hot commodity!" The fact that it took about 2 days or so for ANY variation other than .com to be regged speaks louder. And the fact that the net & org were taken by the same person says even more. People will waste money hoping to make money. That is true. But can ppl at least make educated buys? $100 says all (but maybe the .com) will drop in a year.

It's actually not much of a risk if you think about it.

Let's say you have 100 of these types of domains at $8 a pop = $800.

If you just hit on 1/100, profit.

This one you would have to flip quick tho, moment in time type of domains. It's not like there aren't domainers out there that would pay more than reg fee for it, if it came to that, so still profit.

And the reality is, some of these do hit, many/most don't, but some do.

Again, this guy wants to make his fortune quick since he has a start bid of $19,000.

And paypal?
That is the laugh here!

I would've priced it at $35,000,000 and forwarded the domain to some lead site. Make money while everyone is linking and talking about it.

True. It was a reg fee investment, anyway. The best he'd likely do is get 2x reg fees back from another noob (the Greater Fool Theory). The worst is his reg fees and possibly, a bad reputation/image. I'm not really criticizing that e made a little investment. My criticism is what he invested on.

JB you beat me to it - was going to post that.

Oh but wait - this one's the best one!

(5x as many comments. Because you can't fit as many women in a 1" binder as in a 2" binder...)

Most helpful favorable review:
I was originally going to rate this only 1 star. You see, I'm a big girl and I can only squeeze about 53% of myself into this binder. But then I decided that I'm not going to worry about the other 47%.

As for the domains, not the first time people have gone crazy over-registering domains on some news topic and it won't be the last.

Wondering if these are good gimmicks..

And this time in a year, ppl won't have any idea what this means and thus every single 'binder girls' domain will be worthless. Yeah, these things happen, the careless regging. But public humiliation sure straightens a person out lol

I actually sent a link to this thread to the seller.

I imagine that the "Binder" surge will probably fade away, especially after tomorrow's debate

I wonder if they sold a lot of binders in these past few days?
