This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

If you don't mind me asking who are you moving these too? I would think that this is a TM issue but more the best of wishes to you if you can move these like the heat wave hitting the USA.

And the only reason I ask is that I am setting up a website with iphone in the domain name and look to move it once it is developed.

Great sale and many best wishes!

Karma Rob

"Ruby on Rails" along with Iphone are registered trademarks. Are we to take from your sales that you think it is acceptable to do this?

Opinion

Depends on how the domain is used and the keywords included in the domain. I also sold
ipadsoftwaredevelopment.com a while back.
To understand the trademark guidelines that apple set you will need to read the whole guidelines.

I will certainly not advice anyone to buy these sort of names unless you are clearly familiar with trademark laws.

My take on this

"Ruby on Rails" along with Iphone are registered trademarks. Are we to take from your sales that you think it is acceptable to do this?

I never post my sales; however I'll make an exception this once as I thought it was curious: had regular offers for this one thru email (I had a custom for-sale landing page), but decided to see what an auction here would do instead, for some reason I had a feeling an auction would go high. Began an auction here at NP few months ago but no takers even at an opening bid of $50, surprised me.
Anyway, sold for 1900 to end user.

Thanks guys, I got their email consent of buying the domain name, and they wanted to go through escrow, which would have taken few weeks and would have costed me around $100 (all the escrow fee & international wire charges) so I decided to travel 400 Kms (costed me $50 only back & forth) from my place to go see them personally and complete the transaction.

I'm glad I personally met executives of the company, because It has opened more options and business opportunities for me to deal with this company in near future.
