Reviews and information for Dynadot

ICANN accreditted registrar that not may people know about. The domain management interface is easy to navigate and actually makes sense.

One of the best new features is domain deletion within the first 5 days of registration for full credit to be used at a later date.

If you spend more than $500.00 per year, you qualify for our bulk prices.

Simply the best registrar on the planet!

In my view, Dynadot is simply the best registrar on Earth. Where else can you grace delete many TLDs for FREE? Great interface, great API, awesome everything. Dynadot flat out rocks!

I just use Dynadot not for long time.
But their price is reasonable.
Their interface is clean and fast. No have to many fancy designs that slow down the loading. Support are excellent, but it will be better if they can have support ticket system, so the customer able to see past tickets, current tickets, etc.
Also, the have community forum. This is a plus. :)

I like DynaDot but their site is often down all together or just plain slow, plus they seem to make changes to their site on weekends when they have no support.

Since yesterday, I can not access my account. Today, anything is not accessible.

I encountered downtime at dynadot few times and all happened at weekend. :(

Review

I have been delighted with Dynadot since choosing it after extensive research. I have moved my clients' registrations to it one by one over the past year and have found it clean, simple, safe, efficient and very good value. HOWEVER, I have been amazed to find that for the past 24 hours the whole site has been down and only displays a simple message about technical difficulties which has still not been updated. I emailed them and did not receive any reply (of course). Their communication to clients in these circumstances lowers my opinion of them. It now raises the only concern I had about choosing them - a small one at that time - that they were smaller and less well known and might go under during difficult times. Does anyone know anything to suggest they might be now?

If they werent going under before this extended outage without any updates might make them.

Maybe its time we all started jamming ICANN up about the situation. Why else are we paying them .20 per domain?!

I have three domains with them. Can't complain, however, the prices listed here are out-of-date. The domain prices are much larger nowadays due to ICANN fee raises.

Domain disabled, Dynadot is not replying to emails

Dynadot has disabled my domain PASTEHTML.COM.

It is a free web hosting service. One of my users posted a phishing page on it. Dynadot has disabled the domain without even warning me.

Some time later they did send a letter to me, which said that the domain will be re-enabled once the offending page is removed. I immediately found and deleted the page and asked Dynadot to re-enable the domain.

It happened 3 days ago. Since that the domain is still disabled, Dynadot’s staff is not replying to my emails, and my website is not working. I can't even transfer my domain to another registrar.

I think this is a terrible service.

DynaDot.com Feedback?

Any long term customers of Dynadot.com care to share feedback about this registrar?

Basically I'm looking for reassurance that their service outages (aka offline for a bit including a hard multi-day outage many months ago) are not indicative of systemic problems.

Their bulking pricing looks pretty tempting - $7.75 per .com with more than $500 volume - slightly lower if you go above $5000.

Dynadot is the Dennis Hopper of domain registrars.

Popular among his peers, legendary in his ability, but also known to go on a bender from time to time. I think it's the best overall registrar available when clean and sober (aka not offline).

what if it got nabbed by others?? :P

I know this is an old thread, but I figure it would be better to up this than start another thread.

I really like Dynadot, and I have called their customer support a couple of times to get some questions answered. They were quick and incredibly helpful! I'm a huge fan of them, and hope they continue to be as helpful as they have been so far. :)

I used to use GKG.NET for a long time, but moved to all my domains to Dynanot because they are one of the few registrars that accept Moneybookers payment.

I like everything about them, the interface is fast and user-friendly, security is good, there's good amount of documentation, and the prices are very reasonable too. I never faced any problem with them in the last 2 years therefor never needed to contact support. I've 50+ domains with them now.

I have been using them as well. No issues. And even for me, moneybookers (or Skrill now) support really helps.

I have 40 domains with them and have been steadily moving all my domains to their service. They always give great support to their customers and their features are getting better everyday. They also have an easy to use interface that is much simpler than those at resellers such as NameCheap.

I have more than 20 domains with them ! What i like :
* Fast support & live chat.
* User interface
* Expired domains marketplace

What i don't like :
* Anti fraud system is very strict
* Web hosting service !

But the overall service is great ! 9.5/10

OK. This is an old thread which has been resurrected. I switched from GoDaddy to Dynadot (at the highest discount level for both). I pay about $0.05 more than I did a GoDaddy for .coms but for most other gtld/cctld Dynadot are cheaper, except for .cc (but who wants too many of them). My main reason for changing was the GoDaddy BS regarding whois lookups. GoDaddy gave me only about 100-150 a day but Dynadot gave me 5000.

I like the Dynadot control panel also. I liked GoDaddy's CP as well. So that shows how quirky I am :) I haven't regretted the switch.

I have lots of domains with them. But I want tu update some things to this thread.
Very interesting, indeed good for IDN's etc..I'm happy with them.

BUT =>

* NO "FREE" GRACE DELETING ANY MORE (1, or 2 or 3 USD has to be payed).

* IF YOU PUT MONEY OR THEY OWE YOU MONEY THEY DON'T PAY YOU BACK ON CARD OR PAYPAL ONLY ON YOUR BALANCE TO SPEND WITH THEM (but there are registrars who do the same)

*BE VERY CAREFULL WITH THEIR MARKET (DOMAINS YOU PUT FOR SALE) => In another thread here at Namepros it is mentioned that if you put a specific price FOR a particular domain. (Even if it's 5.000 USD). => you don't get the money payed to you by Paypal or on your card or wire transfer => You get the money as BALANCE to spend at Dynadot.
However if you put it for sale without specific pricing, so "propose a price". it's different
=> In that case a buyer can propose a price, and you get that as message in your inbox at Dynadot. You can communicate untill an agreement is reached. And then you decide together how payment will be done and transfer or push is done with the buyer. So in this case the seller gets the full money.
WHAT'S SAD ABOUT THIS is that usually (according to Sedo) placing a specific price is BETTER TO SELL.
I don't understand why Dynadot keeps this like this.
I could agree with domains you post for sale for 50 USD. But amounts of 100 or 2.000 or more should at least be payed to your Paypalaccount or by wiretransfer. (maybe with a 5 or 10% commission or so fopr Dynadot).

I love Dynadot! They clearly outline every detail about their system, so if someone is unhappy about their services, it's really your own fault.

They're the best registrar by far. I don't know where I'd be in this business without them!
