This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Federer, I got hooked by your sales force and figures when I first came on here a few months ago.

Its seem that you do alot of google keyword search... And I would join soon.

Gilescoley(edited) also schooled me while you were away but I was really hoping to get a tip or two from you. So, I wouldn't mind if you refer me to any of your post for successful domain flipping. How do you know which name to reg or buy? how do you that a name will sell? What are your judgement pointers? Where do you sell most of your domains? What is the minimum number of searches a keyword should before you consider registering it?

Thank you for your time.

Not trying to be rude but if there was such a site that we could sell our domains fast and not have to email people dont you think we would be doing that?

You have to do the work, and 3 word .co's isn't that way to go sorry.

I have been selling domains since last 5 years.
I alone use to sell 20-25 domains a month. average USD 3000- 4000 USD
I recently 2 months back hired a 3 resource and trained them and now. 90% of all my sales are done by team. they email potentional buyer and i reply and close deal

New process is in the Initial days, I hope to increase sales in 1-2 month. I am thinking of 10k-15K a month from 3-5 resources. all resources are commission based

Now where is that guy who wanted to be spoon-fed by Feredrer to see how much work it would take to have success in this business.

I hope that you enjoy every cent of it as you know you deserve any success you'd get from this.

I saw your comment a few days ago but kept mute. If you don't understand a question, why not ask for an explanation.

Who told you that I don't know that it requires hardwork to make success.

My question to you is what would be the result if you emailed 1000 end-users with a crappy name?

In a simple term, may be my previous questions were too complex for you to understand, how do you know that you have a name that will sell? Who couldn't seat all day sending out emails? That's not my problem. My problem is knowing what to buy or reg. that will surely sell.

You get that?

You can try godaddy auctions or start an auction here on namepros but I dont think you will get any takers.
1 word .co's are a tough sale, 3 word .co's are next to impossible to sell.
I suggest you get your .co's appraised here at namepros, I bet you get all 0 reg fee appraisals.

I prefer not to clutter the Sales Thread with anything other than sales, but hopefully this helps you both.

Try to consider how many PMs, emails, etc; the successful sellers get spammed and bombarded with on a regular basis, asking for tips, pointers, and their secrets. I have included a couple of threads below, which may help you.

You should already be able to easily answer this question. However, if not you can visit the following thread and read up on emailing with crappy names.

Quite honestly, if you struggle with the basics of domaining then you should put forth your efforts into learning and educating yourself on the subject, rather than worrying about how to sell. You are putting the cart before the horse.

There is no magical site to simply unload domains. There are too many variables, such as quality of the name, price & budget, and targeted end-users [not domainers, but end-users], etc. Read through the threads provided above along with those below to get a good start. Best of luck.

If you would read the whole "how to find potential endusers" thread from front to back and really look at what sells and doesn't you will be more successful. Of course, the names won't sell themselves.

You have to send well written emails and send them to the people that come up on google for your keywords.

For example: I sold valenciaproperty dot net the other day by going to google and typing "valencia property". I emailed all the sites that had those keywords in their title.

It's hard work to sit down all day emailing but it's worth it to me. And if I had the success that federer has had I'd be stitched to my computer chair :)

I don't think that is the case. I emailed people for the two domain names in my signature but had no success. Obviously, it's a crappy name but I didn't realize it at that time until I came here back I lamented about my ordeals.

I also own sellphone.co and no success as well.

I have some .cos and I wouldn't be able to sell them either. I've noticed the greatest success with .com keyword domains.

I usually look to have at least 20 or more endusers for a domain. ie: Game-Calls dot com.

Type "game calls" in google and you'll see what I mean. Also sold custom-jewelry dot net(haven't sold any other .nets with a hyphen). If you were to type "custom jewelry" you will see how many domains use it in their name.

I also own custom-cakes dot net and custom-guns dot net (both have lots of endusers but none interested). I'm not going to buy anymore .nets with hyphens. I'm also not to fond of brandable names for quick flipping, which is what I'm looking to do. I know they're good for long term but I'm looking for quick sales for profit.

Nothing you asked was complex at all .. on the contrary.. - it's just you were taking a liberty instead of looking up for those answers yourself, you expected someone to spoon feed you just because you couldn't be bothered to look further back on the thread.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could get that type of service from top professionals in any field for free all the time?!!

Now did you get my point?

Those who take this business seriously already know that someone like Ferederer has mentioned his system so many times before, so why keep repeating the same questions, instead of making the effort to study harder?

I got one appraised a while back on here and someone said 50.00. I just forgot about it and someone contacted me and we settled on $500.00. Same thing with godaddy appraisal. I just don't want to keep paying for the domains. I will probably put all 25 of them on godaddy and if I get what I've got in them I'll be fine. Thanks for your help.

Just wanted to say thank you for all this information. The content of these posts is well worth a college education in domaining. I am grateful I joined here since I have learned a lot and just wanted to acknowledge the people's time and efforts that goes into this. Thank you all. I am grateful. Best wishes all in the domain name field.
