USPS Delivery Failure Notification

I just found this today... it came with a attch and 19 others in the "to:"
Addy is from [email protected]
Pretty good chance it is not really from the Post Office... lol

I went to the USPO.com site and found this:
ALERT: Customers be aware of fraudulent package delivery messages sent by email or phone.
It links to this pdf with a warning https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/radDocs/consumer/SpamAlert.pdf
BEWARE OF SPAM!
BOGUS DELIVERY MESSAGES E-MAILED TO
POSTAL CUSTOMERS
Some postal customers are receiving bogus e-mails about a package delivery. The e-mails
contain a link that, when opened, installs a malicious virus that can steal personal information
from your PC.
The e-mails claim to be from the U.S. Postal Service and contain fraudulent information about an
attempted or intercepted package delivery. You are instructed to click on a link to find out when
you can expect your delivery. But Postal Inspectors warn: Do not click on the link!
Like most viruses sent by e-mail, clicking on the link will activate a virus that can steal
informationβ€”such as your user name, password, and financial account information.
What to do? Simply delete the message without taking any further action. The Postal Inspection
Service is working hard to resolve the issue and shut down the malicious program.
If you have questions about a delivery or wish to report spam, please call 1-800-ASK-USPS.
Just a heads up :)
I know not many of our members would fall for this, but we should warn our grannys and the like. ;)

Peace,
Cy

Hello!

Unfortunately we failed to deliver the postal package you have sent on the
12th of November in time because the recipient's address is erroneous.

Please print out the shipment label attached and collect the package at our
office.

You would think they could spell "could" correctly.
Anyways, I don't think any of us will click it, but give a heads up to your not so savvy friends / relatives.

If it was a delicious date, then she is probably still waiting at the station. Mind, she's probably worn out by now with all those hot couriers flying arouind, or maybe she is just giving them english lessons. :)
