free pizza i get 450,000 results
free pizzas i get 36,000 results

if the domain name is freepizzas.com
will it also be included in the 450 results? do search engines include the 's' in the results if you type free pizza ?

anway, 450 is quite good ? ir 36,000 results god? worth buying for $10 ?

ok stupid question,
what i meant to ask was, will the pizzas site be ranked more highly in google if somsone searches pizza because of the name?
or will it not make any difference,

I doubt it will make any difference. I'm no expert, though.

Well sites like google will index content on your site, content in the meta tags, and in the domain name.

So if you have the word pizza in your description, and keywords, and on the content, and you meet all the other requirements in googles algo then you will be ranked high, for pizza, and it will highligght pizza in your domain, because when google high lights in domains it highlights for phrases, so if you have
"ilikechickensthatdanceinthewinterbutsummerisbetter.com"
Say this site get thousands of unique per day, and say someone searches for chicken it will look like
"ilikechickensthatdanceinthewinterbutsummerisbetter.com"

2 quick questions -

1.To get traffic for parking am I trying to find search terms that people type that have the most search results in Google ? I think it should be niched down otherwise you will never get to the top of the first page?

2. Does it matter that, lets say as an example - .art as the tld

eg bestwatercolour.art

or is

bestwatercolourart.com

better

How does Google treat the TLD - is it as a keyword?

google ranks based on quality of the content + how many real quality back links you have that are relevant. Your domain could be qqosodkpsofoieorijoe.uhiuhiu and if you have the best content and backlink ratio you will be ranked high

I am starting to personally think that the backlink factor is less important than people have been led to believe....

I have content on my site with 0 backlinks that is outranking Trip Advisor, Booking .com, pitchup......to name a couple

With the latest update from Google that focuses on helpful content I do think you can rank for unique, well written content that your competitors have not covered, just requires good keyword research and writing skills

Backlinks are a nice bonus, but not the be all and all......unless you are going for those huge monthly searches which require a lot of time and money to achieve a top 3 ranking

Plenty of good pickings to be had at 15k monthly search volume and below........which starts to add up to a decent amount of traffic without backlinks.....

As Google continues to update/refine the algorithm I think content rather than backlinks will have more and more of a say in how you rank......imo....

I wish what you just said reflects reality, it would help a lot of people that invested years of writing very helpful original articles but get almost no traffic because not many backlinks.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
If I am aiming to try and sell domains to those who develop sites and are experienced in getting sites ranked higher and those who park names. From what you mention I dont want domain names with high google searches but 15k ish is what I should aim for.
I am considering registering a couple of names which have very high google results but they wont be of value to my target market?

Love the way you dismiss someone sharing facts from their own website and say it's not reality.....

My reality is backed up by tracking my keywords/phrases and seeing the results on Google, Bing etc etc.....so I'm happy with it.....

I did not dismiss your reality, how could I do that?

The keyword being in the domain has no bearing on ranking nowadays......

It might help people when searching and with click through rates though......

I will dispute that or admit to no work when i do nothing.
Your domain if never have traffic will not be in result.
It will improve if had own efforts of traffic but to say it will never appear it just needs hosting and not your block all kind.
