Appraisal Thread

I think there needs to be some sort of balance in place in the appraisals thread. As I'm sure many of you have noticed the demand for appraisals way offsets the supply.

I'm not sure how this can be done but the thread needs some sort of checks and balances.

The #1 Appraisals Forumβ„’ is, and has always been, one of the more (if not, at times, the most) popular forums ... I think there may be some ways to better incentivized replies / opinions / appraisals and/or to ease up a bit on its moderation; while spam can exist, I've noticed over the years that posts of replies / activity (and even discussion(s)) beget even more replies and activity (thus increasing "supply" in this context) ... and a healthy balance can evolve IMHO. :gl: :talk:

Good thread, I look forward to other's thoughts and suggestions, as well! :yell:
Merry Christmas,
Jeff :santa:

Legitimate questions and other focused mini discussions get merged into one massive 22-page thread (which is impossible to search or even read; evident by repeated reposts) yet there are dozens of appraisal requests per week for junky domains littering the search results. Meh, this place can't be perfect I suppose.

^ Perfection will likely never occur with regard to appraisals - especially in the volume we're discussing ... but I think there may be ways in which to increase activity (to better balance 'supply' with its present demand, as noted) and replies, and even over time quality replies - but it's first going to need some lightening up on some of its present restrictions IMHO.
To some extent an attitude / perception (or more accurately, expectation) adjustment may also be needed by some ... as any of these offerings are opinions and appraisals being posted FOR FREE by the membership! :yell: :talk: :imho:

Regards,
Jeff B-)
