I'm pleased to announce that we have just brokered the sale of Holland.net for $32 k

Ron Jackson will be reporting the sale in his next round up.

We have some other bigger deals hopefully closing by the end of next week (fingers crossed)

Congratulations!

Actually I expecting a bit higher price for that domain.

Congrats, that's pretty good ... I recall it last having been sold in January/February '09 for $27k (I believe via auction at Snapnames); if that info is correct that's a pretty decent return for 20+ months, IMHO.

More importantly, who is the buyer ... and what / when are their development plans? :gl:

All the best,

i think after the broker fees - the seller more or less just manged to break even

That's the one :$: variable to consider ... looking forward to additional insight from the O.P., IMHO. :gl:

The seller did have a profit on the sale as we only charge 10% brokerage unlike other brokers who can charge upto 20% +. Right now I have no idea what the buyer intends to so with this domain but I'm sure all will agree that fully developed out this domain would make a profitable website given enough effort.

Then it looks like a 'net' profit to the seller of about $1,800+/-, IMHO ... not bad considering the holding period; it would really be ashame if it wasn't fully developed (as you mention, it could make a compelling Geo (and profitable) website) ... we will be keeping an eye! :gl: :imho:

Kind rwgards,
