.tv New .TV promo on the horizon: New Registration PriceCut coming?

UPDATE: Pricecut Sale on New .TV registrations:

cheapest place so far is Name.com = $10.99 first year, if you reg for multiple years, it is $9.99 per year.

////

Word is there's a big sale on new .TV registrations starting soon (if not today).

Check with your favorite registrar or with any of the .tv registrars. I believe Verisign has been planning this for weeks...

New registrations should be priced between $10-$14 depending on registrar. FYI, some registrars are NOT offering the sale...

I'm glad Verisign is trying hard to breathe new life into .TV:

~ Goldrush
~ Landrush
~ Sedo Auction

Now:

~ Price cut on new registrations

Please post registrars & sale pricing as you find it. I've got a list of about 25+ I've been saving for this week. ;) I'm sure the naysayers and trolls will find a way to put a negative spin on this, but for some of us who have lists of names we're undecided about, the new pricepoint is easier to swallow then the former $20-$35 reg fees... so I consider this great news for some of us.

Good luck to everyone.

Great news.
But it will also effect renewals or only new registrations?
Thanks.

Thanks.

I will make some calls and do more research today to gather more details.

I do believe it is up to the registrar if they allow the sale price for single/multiple year registrations and/or for renewals... will verify.

I guess I need to add another mark (X) on the "love" list on my love/hate relationship with Verisign.

Hey everyone,

Name.com's promo works like this: One (1) year .TV registrations are $10.99/yr, OR if you register your .TV for two or more years at the same time it's only $9.99/yr. We also have a special renewal promo for our existing customers. Our current renewal rate is $35/yr, but for the month of June with the promo code "SHOWTIME" .TV renewals are $29.95/yr.

The renewals with the promo code is riduculously expensive, I would definitely transfer out to others that are in the range of $16.99 - $18.99. But the initial reg of $10.99 is definitely a good deal!

I haven't seen anyone prodive renewal rates that low.

I was actually talking about transfer out to DomainMonster but it looks like their prices have raised to between $20.49 - $22.99 depending on how many names you transfer >:(

It does look like they are now also offering new reg from $9.99 with the code on their site. It does say "from" so I'm presuming you have to buy a certain bulk number though.

You're right.

I thought they were $9.99 each, no matter how many you bought but they weren't. I don't know the exact price breakdown based on how many you have to reg to be within that certain price category over at DM but I did have 7 .TV's in my cart over there earlier today, (along with the coupon code) and they came up to $11.99 each.

So, I just grabbed mine from Name.com
