Dynadot

.tv Premium .tv domains seem available on other registrars than Enom

Did you happen to see this?
:notme:

Registered some with dynadot, really interested to see what will happen next :D

Did you register any "premium" .tv's?

(maybe it was a glitch in the system maybe enom was trying to unload premiums because they knew about

either way this is one of the most bizarre things that ever happened to me as a domainer)

Just now enom.tv changed its frontpage layout,, hm....

---------- Post added at 08:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 PM ----------

verisign whois still shows the default whois for almost every premium .tv available:
Domain Name: $$$$$$$.TV
Registrar: TV CORPORATION
Whois Server: whois..tv, the top level domain (TLD) preferred for rich media including video, animation and user-generated content.
Referral URL: .tv, the top level domain (TLD) preferred for rich media including video, animation and user-generated content.
Name Server: DNS1.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS2.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS3.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS4.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Name Server: DNS5.NAME-SERVICES.COM
Status: ACTIVE

If I open the same domain from my browser I get not found message instead of the parked page that enom puts on every unregistered .tv
for example like this one:
zzm.tv which is an unregistered premium

Also if I search my registered domains directly on enom:
http://www.enomcentral.com/domains/dotTV.asp?domain=my-premium-domain.tv
I get a message:
"my-premium-domain.tv is not available"

Unlike with l-o.tv another unregistered premium where page opens and I see the premium fees.

weird things happening!

Looks like a few bugs on enom.tv, I put in a name, it says. YOUR SEARCH WAS SUCCESSFUL GRAB YOUR NAME. It was already registered.

If - and it's a very BIG IF - you are successful in registering this ".TV" domain name with absolutely NO :$: Premium renewal fees year-after-year EVER (versus $25,000 / yearly) ... will you develop and promote it with amazing & fresh content on a new Debt.tv website? :gl:

Good Luck,
Jeff B-)

"Maintenance Alert

Premium .TV domain names are currently under maintenance and on registry-lock. They will become available again on March 19th, 2010 at 1:00 AM EST."

Correct, I was just about to write this.

etittle52 says that he managed to redirect debt.tv to his website, which is true, just visit the domain yourself.
debt.tv is on the list enom send by email as a $25000 premium...

Maybe it's time to call Enom? I won't understand everything they tell me, so maybe native speaker call them to clear it up?

For your eyes only :) Just got from enom

Sshhh...

We wanted to let you in on a little known secret but we can't reveal it for a few more hours.

So we wanted to give you a heads up. You might want to be around your computer tonight Thursday, March 18th around 9:00 PM PT to hear a remarkable announcement that we are sure will transform this particular segment of the domain industry and your current domain investments.

eNom is trying to make sure that our most valued customers get a competitive advantage by benefiting from a significant change taking place-before anyone else in the industry can.

Just a teeny hint -- this is a once in a lifetime chance for you to expand your domain portfolio with some new, highly coveted names before anyone else and save money in the process.

Once announced, there could be a domain buying frenzy and you could lose out on some quality names.

See you after 9:00 PM PT tonight!

As I was told earlier by enom manager - at 9:00 it will be the second chance to register Premium names with Premium prices, but standard reg fee

I think they have locked the premium names Makis like they did in 2007. Looks like 1am on March 19 it will be right again. To be honest there is all this good pricing news but I really just regged the names I wanted for $12.99 last week and really am not looking at any other .tv. I don't want a big .tv portfolio so I am just glad to see everyone else kicking butt. There is one name in the auction I want, so if that does not get bid too high maybe that is a buy.

I hope everyone here keeps all the names regged at other places that would be cool and a welcome present to those who have supported the extension.

Does anybody who regged names at Dynadot see in whois his data?

My gut feeling is they will probably take names back (which is what registries have typically done in that situation), you never know though.

Funny stuff.

You think so snoop..? Hope not :) I reg'd a couple at dynadot. I get this message when I use their whois
"Domain names can now be registered with many different competing registrars.
Go to VeriSign WHOIS - Domain Name Lookup from VeriSign, Inc. for detailed information."
Still, the whois is not in my name, however domains in my account are forwarding to my site.
