We just finished building 10 classifieds, 1 dating and 2 social networking sites. Our team want to host all the sites in one Server and one IP. How possible is it?

Furthermore, what is the best SSL to be used in these sites to secure users personal information?

Our Team are eager to hear your opinion.

Thanks.

You will need a dedicated server in this case. Dedicated servers come with a dedicated IP address that will only belong to you. With a dedicated server you can host as many websites as you like, there is no limit how many websites you can host on a dedicated server.

You simply purchased a fully managed reliable dedicated server and simply add additional domain names from your control panel and upload your website files, and you're done. Your websites are now hosted on one IP address and on one server.

Well, the best SSL is the Extended Validation SSL Certificate which comes with the Green Bar in browsers.

Thanks.

You will need the Extended Validation SSL Certificate for every domain name hosted on the server.

I just would like to let you know that Extended Validation SSL Certificate is very expensive, it costs around $1,000 for a year.

But you can get a simple SSL Wildcard Certificate that can be placed on multiple domains on a server and it works almost as Extended Validation SSL Certificate, but not exactly since you don't get the green bar and its much cheaper.

VPS will be fine to get started. I assume your sites are a quite small ones as they are new so first time you will not have any problem on the VPS

You van have one IP for the all your sites and each dedicated IP for the SSL

You need a virtual private server.

Virtual private servers are designed to handle a specific amount of traffic and data on the server. Since social networking websites and classified websites receive large amount of traffic and data transfer, a dedicated server would be your best choice. Virtual private server will work, but as I mentioned above it will only handle a specific amount of traffic and data processing, since virtual private servers are not as powerful as dedicated servers.

If the sites are brand new you can start with a VPS and upgrade as the traffic increases. Only thing you need to check whether your provider offers dedicated servers also if you need . BTW I agree with
SnoorkAdvertiser that the nature of your sites seems to get heavy traffic.
