Comwired.com - Split your domain traffic and send to multiple locations

I've been expecting a service like this to arrive for several years.

It seems a little pricey, unless you really do end up making more $$$.

This would seem to work well for domains at Fabulous.com since they don't accept very much International traffic.

Any opinions?

Hi BizBot,

We sure do. As of yet we don't have it implemented, but we will be bringing a reseller/affiliate solution up very shortly. Right now if you were to sign up and bring someone on, I would have no problem coming up with a suitable way to ensure you were taken care of.

Thanks much!!

Sean

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to follow up. I had not seen a reply to this, so just now finding it...

We did have a temporary outage last week. We had to do some maintenance and we hope it only caused minor downtime. I really apologize.

However, we are up and working, and I'm always available to anyone via phone or email day or night.

We hope to have you come aboard and try our system if you have not already.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you!!

Regards,

Sean

Hi

Has there been any updates on progress with this unique program?

I been hearing about it but never committed to it or want to see some results from others. Has anyone tested comwired on your traffic names?

Let's say I have an adult name and want to do a test with ddc.com, parked.com, parkingpanel.com and let's say international traffic using bodis. So the name gets 2000 to 3000 uniques parked but I been running various tests among parking companies and seeing somethings I like but somethings I don't like as well.

I may test this out this weekend and open a free account.

That's an interesting concept. But won't it affect the domain that is chosen for the traffic split? I cannot guess much without experimenting though.

@Seabass thanks in reply!

I had opened an account today and what an amazing platform imo. When you login to your account, very nice set up and easy to use. You can see they spent there time and money into proper development.

I had set up 6 names quickly from my enmom account and that part went well. Made sure all the names were in 3 parking accounts, ddc.com, parked.com and bodis. They do not have a parking panel option though.

I then took a short break and was in my other accounts name.com and Godaddy setting things up. I changed my servers to there's first and that was my fault. I didn't read the details but I guess your only allowed 6 sites during the 30 day free trial. So after I changed the set ups in my accounts, tried adding the names it would take them. I contacted them and within 5 min they were emailing me back. Was very impreessed , wanted make sure I had 2 names in account so I had deleted 2 names and replaced the ones I needed. Another option was adding a credit card to account, at this time I didn't want to do that and or start paying even if its cheap per year. I wanted to do some tests first then decide on my adult traffic.

Unfortunately I only have a baseket of names that have traffic and ppc earnings.

Will be watching things and wonder how they do. The downtime issue has me worried some but being a young company that's expected and my loss is nothing compared to Seabass by the way I keep hearing what a ppc parking expert you are and names you have. Thanks in reply again and help!

Wish my portfolio had tons of traffic off ppc parking but in reality its small compared to my developed sites

Thanks

Hi guys!

We are proud to announce our new online interface! It's easier than ever and slick to boot!

Here is a copy of our press release:

Comwired Unveils New DNS Hosting Interface | Affordable Online Press Release Services | Press Release distribution - PRunderground.com

Louisville, KY (PRunderground) October 28, 2009 – Today Comwired.com, the Internet’s innovative low-cost, location-based DNS provider, announced it would be unveiling a brand new online interface for its geo-directional DNS platform.

Comwired.com is a leader in providing DNS as a service to companies and individuals who benefit from managing their domain name traffic via geo-targeting. The company offers two lines of DNS server software offerings, a “Domainer” platform and an “Enterprise” platform. Both platforms provide fast, easy DNS hosting, and are geared to divide domain name traffic based on the originating location of visitors accessing domains on the Comwired.com network.

Using Comwired’s DNS servers and admin control panel, users are able to provide a targeted visitor experience within their websites and applications. “Directional DNS benefits our clients by enabling them to send visitors to different pages or websites based on each visitor’s location and routing them to a destination that is more tailored to their geographical location, down to the city level. With this new interface, we’ve made the process easier than ever,” explained Sean Stafford, Director of Technical Support for Comwired.com.

Through a simple unified dashboard, members can view reports and usage as well as add and manage domains, set group rules, and create any combination of country groups.

“There were two main reasons we revamped the Comwired.com interface. First, we wanted to produce software that embodies the phrase, “user friendly.” We wanted to make sure we offered the most easy-to-use and valuable online experience our audience could ask for. Second, we wanted to introduce additional features to our software while striking a balance between a visually rich design and giving our users more control with less confusion. We recognize that the typical DNS user may not be a network engineer. With this newest edition of Comwired I believe we’ve achieved both goals,” continued Stafford.

Comwired uses IP Anycast routing technology to allow visitors going to their clients’ sites to be pointed to the nearest server on a geographically diverse network, minimizing network latency. Customers can serve different content to users visiting the same domain name by directing their visitors to multiple locations – using A records, CNAME records, or URL redirection – based on predefined rules. Because this happens on the DNS level, unlike localization technologies that require ZIP code entry or redirect a user after the page has resolved, the redirection is instantaneous and undetectable by the user.

Established in early 2008, Comwired.com is a trusted DNS provider and leader in directional DNS management. Building on a history providing services in the web hosting and domain name industries, the Comwired.com team brings new innovation to the DNS world by improving old technology for the benefit of domainers and corporate users who require specialized DNS services for localized and targeted advertising. The service has many adaptations which include interactive ad serving, fraud detection, ensuring regulatory compliance, and triggering country- or language-specific payment options. The company offers a free DNS trial encouraging anyone to try out their traffic management features at Comwired | Managed DNS, Traffic Management, Network Optimization
