nothing new under the roman sun either... :tu:
Well you know, as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, but carefully over time. Just like good software. And the city is still around after thousands of years, too, with many visitors traveling to it. :)

Hmm,

I'm thinking that at this point it's likely that we might end up waiting until Monday again. Matt said in this post from the old thread that one of the ad providers had asked him to wait until the following Monday to ensure one of their technicians was available. I don't know if that situation still exists (hope not), but I wouldn't be surprised.

I know we all want to have this go off smoothly. So just keep a realistic expectation now that we're heading into the weekend. Keep it up Matt, you're almost to the finish line.

Geezopete, let the guy alone. No wonder he didn't want to be held to a specific date and time, some of you guys just won't let up. It'll be done when it's done; if you've never done any coding, you should be aware that unforeseen things ALWAYS come up and have to be dealt with.

We're all waiting patiently for V2-Day. Not much longer for the landing to start!

He was the one who started this Bodis 2.0 thread..

Landing pages are live.

I tried converting the best I can. It just seems that to make many of these landing pages look great, everyone will have to log in and manage it on the new Bodis on Monday when I push it live.

Btw, all new feeds except 2-3 are live. There should not be a keyword that will not return any results (at least not for North America visitors).

And you can also now forward/view any domain name from:

bodisparking.com/domainname.com

PS
The reason I didn't finish pushing live in the morning is because it took 2 hours to move 5gb of data, and then I found out that when I unzipped it that half the data wasn't there...and then, I don't know but I woke up with my face on the keyboard 4 hours later. ;)

PS#2
Layout colors were almost impossible to convert to the colors that we support, and will have to be adjusted from the new Bodis. Hopefully that won't take too long since it will be very easy to modify a domain layout.

We also have more ways of monetizing domain names, but that won't be enabled until we push Bodis.com website live on Monday morning.

Excellent. Now we can start changing the pics and other stuff. Because the picture size is now 620x240 from a previous 326x171 they have become distorted and have lost quality. No problem. Lets get our asses moving and start work.
Well done Matt!

Thank you for all your hard work on our behalf!

Well it's a good thing that we have at least a photo selection of over 3000 high quality photos, should help people out a lot. Also, since you can upload any width/height and a file upto 1mb, you can then crop it on the screen right after uploading, so no need for anymore photoshoping or alike.

FANTASTICO!. That can save a lot of time.

I believe that the management in the new Bodis.com and the new ways of monetizing domain names are the real thing here.

But the landing pages were the hardest (to convert).

Looks good Matt,

It looks like you don't have the dynamic title anymore. I was wondering how this would impact things like google indexing which will lower/drop "stale" sites?

Looks like I'll have to play with keywords as I'm still getting a lot of stuff from webcrawler.com, findstuff.com, info.com, monstermarketplace.com, guide-1.net etc. This is for domains with car shopping, fuel economy, auto loans, etc.

You did say all the other feeds were on-line now (except for 2-3)? Even search terms like "auto loan" only turn up the junk links. Even the classic search term "Mesothelioma" turns up junk ;)

Unfortunately, getting the exact same ads as before as well.... Mostly to the sites that basically just run an arbitrage type scheme. Tooseka, Webcrawler, ect.......

2-3 more feeds. We have 1 big one, but it is currently inactive. So hopefully I will have that live early this upcoming week.

In terms of the links from arbitragers - they are sorted by mainly CPC, so they seem to be beating all the non-arbitrager links. They may seem like junk, but should have a pretty accurate title (which increases CTR), and CPCs are not as bad as you may think from these advertisers. They usually pay between $0.10 to $0.20 per click.

They are our best CPC ads, so not sure what I can do there...if I disable them, CTR and CPC will fall.

can't wait....well done ...

As long as they pay the most then there is not much you can do. It just seems odd that none are significantly relavent. I wonder if they are all redirecting to google ads (doubt it since google doesn't like arbitrage).

Perhaps we need to have some sub discussion on good keywords for certain topics?
