Great Domains/Sedo has fastpizzapizza.com at auction, with current bid being $5100, follow thru from pizza.com's 2.6M sale... All I can say is wow to the owner of that domain, no brainer for that three word pizza domain......

Well if the owner of pizza.com is a big chain, they might just swallow the .info for 12K EUR

Wow there are actually bids on the .info 7 different bidders, so most likely it will close even higher than 12K EUR.....

I saw pizza.net at tdnam is was around 4k this morning, has a reserve, interesting to see where it ends up. 10% of the .com would be $260K?

These rules do not apply on any domain.

The .net is worth 10% of a .com for networking names like VPN, Network, maybe Laptop etc.

On consumer names, I do not see the net being worth 10% of a .com. They need the .com to establish a brand name. Pizza.net? Nah .... It is surely worth a lot, but not 260k, no way. As beer.net would not be worth 10% of Beer.com too.

I agree as well, just using it as a out there estimate, tdnam hasn't had much success with top end auction from what I have seen. You never know, not to sure what the .net owner wants, but I would have taken it to greatdomains/sedo and got that exposure while the .com sale is still hot. It is sales like pizza.com that bring awareness and new investment into the industry.

Yes, just like after the iReport sale domainers were regging iDomains ... forgetting that the domains sold were valuable and meaningful.

Anyway it can't be worse than the .asia regs
