I just started my site with DreamHost yesterday, but they've been awesome! Most updates are done immediately due to the great control panel software.

Invisionhost.com.au helps out developers and if you have a forum or community site that has high traffic you can cut cost with sponsorship.

I doubt you'll find a better hosting company than this. They even let you test out their services for 7 days, if you're not a believer from the beginning.

their customer support are amazing, answer questions in minutes and very friendly.
they have direct admin as control panel, it's really good though. if you're kinda new to web hosting stuff, you might want to use direct admin, it's very friendly control panel.

Supanames.Co.Uk and ManroHosting.Com - I'd reccomend ManroHosting but I would tell anyone not to go with SupaNames (worst host ever).

im considering signing up with manrohosting.com soon id recommend that no one use gisol.com. Webhostingtalk.com is the best place to find hosting reviews.
