This is NOT cool.. I have a domain in there with a 50k offer on it... I also have a domain to push in there that was won in the auction to HBK

Over 20 names in total!!

They also refunded paypal out of my account and my balance at Namecheap is -46.99 ?

What is wrong with your system.. and When is my account fixed?..

No telephone persons available on weekends?

Cmon guys I've praised you over and over and over again.. only to get this?

Uhh Ohh. That's not good at all.

I feel for ya. This is a good reason why all DN companies should have 24/7 telephone help. IMO.

Need I say it again? .. I have a 50K offer on one of the domains in this account.. and you have no support contact to reach today?.. My account worked fine yesterday.. and now this?.. if it locks accounts for over 80 years with no email to the account admin email address.. your system has issues.. please get me fixed up asap.

Ouch that hurts, was it you that kept logging in or trying to? If not there has to be a way for them to find out who it was, IP addy's something. Anyway Good luck with this.

Sure wasn't me.. all week thier system has been having issues I know that much..
For some reason we funded our namecheap account too and they issued some kind of refund too and negativly affected our namecheap balance.. so perhaps they think it was on our end but we didn't initiate any kind of refund to be -46.99 at all.. nor did we attempt numerous logins.. If they refunded paypal they did it on thier own but numerous of these domains ive had in there for a long time!.. I don't mind recreditting the 46.99 or whatever it is via credit card or whatever if that's thier issue as soon as the refund posts back to us. I don't know what the heck is going on but freezing an entire domain portfolio for 80 years and not even an email to the admin address ???
and no reply or anything?.. This is not normal..

50k sale on hold now.

NC usually responds in a timely manner with e-mail, at least from what my experience has been.

Did you send the e-mail longer than 24 hours ago?

about 12 .. hoping a response soon since I am supposed to push one domain like 1/2 hour ago.. and can't do anything at all with the one with the big offer on it .. This is really frightening

Oh, that's not good. Might they have received an "unauthorized funds" message from PayPal having to do with your other hacked.cc issue?

NameCheap has a good track record of handling problems though, I don't doubt they'll help resolve it once their support personal is available.

Good luck, UD.

Yeah paypal really irked me by reversing all the transactions of that day too!.. not only was I ripped off on hacked.cc paypal turned around and reversed the transactions that day.. but I don't recall funding namecheap that day..

I can't see that being the case.. it's been working fine until this morning.. usually if a company has an issue with billing they'd email the account address?..

I'm inclined to think this is not the issue.. I spent more than that on one reg alone in this account.

I'm frankly kind of in shock.. this has never happened there before or anything like this to me there. Everything was always smooth until this last week.

Either way .. Like I said I was supposed to push a name 1/2 hour ago.. and If the 50k buyer wants to complete the sale today.. well I'm screwed...

I'm sure their customer support it good... but 24/7 would be a better choice and not weekends off for everyone.. I don't get weekends off even..

You had a credit card hacked? D-: Sounds like you are having major problems, hope you get it all worked out!

no not hacked.. someone paid me for hacked.cc using a stolen cc .. and paypal froze and limited our entire account while they investigate the buyer supposedly.. and is holding alot of verified funds too in the meantime..

All in all this has been a bad bad week.. im working with escrow now to remove paypal period from the brokerage and have it so all payments are verified and handled third party since this is rediculous when 2 out of 4 sales are bunk payments.

and worst of all.. it all comes back to kick me..

Paypal not only froze all our good funds but reversed a bunch of payments we sent out that day (all over 100 measly dollar payment we got for hacked.cc) and reversed about 600.00 worth of transactions at the same time.

Guess who looked bad?.. Paypal didn't care lol

I feel for you Chelsie, hopefully your buyer doesn't back down because of this.
Good luck! Contact the buyer though and explain what is going on with Namecheap otherwise the longer you may wait may result in decreased confidence from your 50K buyer.

Since the transfer was already expected...

I've emailed my buyer to explain that I may need until Monday. Also I have interest in your particular names Damion. I won't divulge details until I get another call in but the interested party is one of the persons in charge of the actual development :)

Dont blame namecheap or yourself, it is a security thing. Mail support at namecheap.com and they will reply soon. They helped me things which they shouldnt really helped me with, since it is not related to domains even. I am 99% sure thier awesome support will help you.

In that case all should be alright then although it is of course frustrating.

I'm glad to hear that Chelsie. Keep me updated through PM of any future developments.

Oh no no.. Like I said .. I've had no issues there at all before..It's been a pristine experience until now.. but this is frightening to me is all..

Locking an account for 80 something years when someone tries to login too many times to steal my domains .?.. I'm assuming this is all just an error in thier end technically.. but it stinks that they aren't offering 24/7 support

Anyone can lock anyone's account at any time. All you need to know is their login name, try to log into their account a few times, and then BAM, no more logging in for them for 24 hours.

24 hours would be ok... but 80 something years? lol

Hey Chelsie,

Taken from another forum, same situation:
Your account was closed for a paypal chargeback. You will need to wait until someone from the fraud department comes in this morning so they can help you with this.

If you emailed our support, they will get back to you. I will also let them know myself, just in case.
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=522977

You can try contacting Namecheap boss Richard - enetwork. Although he probably won't be able to help you as it's already been passed on to the fraud department.

Don't worry though, I'm sure once you've explained the situation they'll unlock your account. For now it's just a matter of waiting (days not years by the way)

LMAO.. I can't see how we've "defrauded" them.. We've purchased oh.. hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of domain reg.. and they refund paypal 46.99 because paypal reversed a payment and they lock our account with no email or anything..

That's a bit shady..

But regardless.. unlock my account! I'll happily cover the 46.99 on the paypal chargeback if thats what it is .. If it is it's because someone paid us with a stolen CC.
Although I still don't recall funding our namecheap account at that time.
