From a few emails to targetted companies in google, I got one person interested in buying an advertising slot for $500 over the christmas period, and one person interested in actually leasing the name on a long term basis.
The site was opened two weeks before Christmas, and from then to christmas day, without any promotion, the site received on average 250 uniques a day, and over 500 letters to santa from children.
Obviously this site has large potential for two main regions.
Firstly, the domain market seems to be big into regional/country names at the minute. eg. $700k offer for Glasgow.com, $500k NewZealand.com sale, $10M SouthAfrica.com offer. And as Lapland is one of, if now the largest tourist attraction in Finland, this obviously holds gerat value.
Also, it is associated with the biggest buying period of the year - Christmas. This will allow for great advertising rates.
