Sedo had refreshed his outer website look

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Sedo website's look now more easy, beautiful. On Homepage first background picture is their special auction until you scroll down. In domains search at right is section Good to know with questions and answers, what is useful for buyers and profitable for sellers.

But only one con: When search domains, you cannot see count of bids from the search page as it was earlier.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Check out the auctions ending soon. Only shows 6 domains at a time. You cannot order them by ending soonest. They are in a random order. You have to chronically click show more results to get 6 more domains to show. Cannot see the bids or reserves on the page as you did before.

It's hideous. Just a few days ago I could scroll through dozens of 3L auction results.

Today it shows six results at a time in a garish display.

Unacceptable.

@Sedo You guys need to get domain investors to get out these updates before releasing it. Less is better.

Use this to come up with better color theme:

They also removed the option to select or deselect numbers and IDN. For example, there's no way to search for 3 letter .com domains. You'll also get LNN, NLL, etc. Unless I'm missing something?

It's like they just rearranged the header part rather than developing a new design. The rest of the site is still from the 99s.

Extremely large banners and large fonts still remain on the homepage.

Login dropdown menu disappears when I try to hover it so cannot login to my account anymore.

And yes, they messed up the search page also.

I present the outstanding achievement award to their inept CSS developer!

That login, simply click on Account & Lists. But after I login I cannot go other section of my Sedo account.

GEES....
what happened to form and function? Pretty and fluff is useless!

It is wasted space and lacks the simplicity of finding what you are looking for. Don't like having to scroll and scroll and scroll just to find the link or function I am looking for.

I don't care how many people are watching the domain, that comment and red text is nothing but clutter!

Sorry, the re-design is terrible.... and frustrating, and irritating

To whoever chose this design, I send you the ultimate stupid award!

Give me back the old SEDO.

Fully agree. Why has this been deemed so important? It's not!

If they have a new look, maybe now they will also sell some domains? I've started to sell domain names at the end of 2017 and I've never sold a domain at Sedo. As someone from here said "If tomorrow Sedo would dissapear, I wouldn't even know". I feel the same. I don't know why people still consider Sedo as the second most important marketplace, after Afternic.

@Sedo can change their look all they want. Unfortunately, it won't make make an ounce of difference in the area of sales until they 86 their ridiculously oversized/half page cookie disclaimer/buyer deterrent.
They've been warned about this numerous times over the years, yet they continue failing to realize that it's a real issue.
@Sedo, you can't be a sales platform, have the largest cookie dislcaimer known to tech and expect to be competitive in a highly competitive market.
It will never happen and your numbers have been reflecting this.
Sorry guys, you're failing and we've been telling you about this for years now.

I actually quite like the look of it, It's Bold , yes and certainly colourful. I'm actually considering just defaulting my main domains to Sedo, and then leave them not resolving to the a buy or make offer setting. This then brings up a large "WE can get this domain for you" type banner". obviously it's all about their $69 brokerage service. But. I'm thinking that might not be a bad idea either.

Obviously the domains have got to be good but I think more people will bite the bullet on the $69 fee to have a established service do the negotiations for them. The downside being the domains are not categorized and they need to be already getting type-in traffic.

It's less functional and a bit confusing, but at least it's more difficult to navigate and it's also ugly.

I sold 2 domains on Sedo and nothing in Dan and Afternic.

I'm happy for you. :xf.smile: For me, it's the other way around - With a small domain name portfolio, I've sold dozens of domains mostly on Squadhelp but also on Afternic at retail prices, without any negotiation. The buyer simply clicked on the "Buy It Now" button and acquired my domains.

On the other hand, I've never sold anything on Sedo, and I've tried a lot of things:

  1. I've moved my DNS to them several times to use Sedo's landing pages. Nothing happened, other than those visitor traffic stats that are inflated by random Internet bots.
  2. I've lowered the prices for about a year, from $1999 to $888. Still, nothing...
  3. I haven't received even a single offer on Sedo. I've been on namePros forums since December 2020, and even here I've received several lowballing offers for my domains. On Sedo, complete silence.
It's like I'm invisible on Sedo. 😄

@Igor Mironyuk That's good to know, thank you. I've always used "Sales Lander v2 Blank" when I've parked my domain names at Sedo, because I thought that's the cleanest layout.

Also, I took my time to properly configure all that you can setup at Sedo: master keyword, language, categories.

Some months ago I even added a description for all of my domains at Sedo.

Nothing unfortunately...

Dear all,

Since Monday some of you have seen a new beta version of our domain search that is tailored to end users who do not purchase domains on a regular basis.
First of all, thank you very much for your valuable feedback. Be sure we listen to it.

What happened?
This beta version of the domain search was planned to only be visible for a specific target group. Unfortunately it got rolled out to a larger audience.
For now we have brought the "old" search back for all users.

Please know that we value your feedback and listen to it - even if we don't respond to everything individually.
