CYOU domains

Hello I received a email from namecheap today promoting the .cyou domains
Has anyone tried them and do you see value in them
I can't find a specific use for them right now. But maybe I am missing something

I am experimenting on purpose with a handful of cyou domains and giving it 3 years time to see if ANY would sell.
I am adjusting price levels and play around with highs and lows.

I am expecting it to fail, it's not that I am losing an arm and a leg on it. It's more for writing a blog post in the future about it, and I documented so far all actions I took, just to see if any would sell.

60 days later, I am nowhere near getting a single lead or a sale. But they are just parked on DAN and afternic.
Again, it's an experiment expecting to fail, but I love doing those things for my own entertainment.

They have maybe 10 sales reported on Namebio. It got me triggered to experiment with it
I do this with a few extensions every year.

But I will never advise anyone to buy these (esp. handreg) because you probably have more fun burning the cash than spending it on those TLDS.

well yes! That's the whole thing for me.
I was planning to write a blog post about it in the future and probably a whole post here on NP eventually.
But it gets worse; the average views per domain currently on dan is like anywhere between 20-90 views per domain per month.

I was expecting that anyway, but even with EMD, it looks like nobody is touching those TLDs with a ten-foot pole.

I am very happy to share all the details with anyone.
My initial goal with this experiment was :

I spent about 250 dollars on all names I acquired on .cyou , can I manage to go breakeven on renewal fees before the 12-month period?
Chances are currently not looking good LOL.

I tried to price them in the first month anywhere between 4 up to 100K for ridiculousness.
now I am adjusting them to more acceptable levels, but I think it will still fail. So in month 3 or 4 I use diff prices again.


And what's so great about these experiments is that I am actually enjoying doing them.

You can say cyou to the cyou domain soon
