Hello everyone,

Many people called and messaged me to check my wellbeing since I’m in Turkey and there were multiple earthquakes several days ago. I’m safe along with my family. So thank you for your concern and taking your valuable time and getting in touch with me. On the other hand, it’s very sad to see thousands of people die in this unfortunate incident that happened both in Turkey and Syria. It’s good to see many people are helping out in whatever way they can.

It’s been several months since I last shared my acquisitions. Today I wanted to share what I’ve acquired in 2023 so far and to let everyone know that I’m doing fine.

Before doing that, I would like to tell you that as of today I’ve 8,250 domains. There are still a lot of inconsistencies in sales like in December 2022 I just had one sale only! That month was the worst month in sales in over 6 years! Then in January 2023, I had 10 sales. This is just mind boggling. I’ve been consistently adding around 100 domains every month and fluctuation in sales keeps happening but December was a shocker to me.

BPG.org, FWT.org – I’ve heavily invested in 3L .org domains but the results are still not up to the mark as they’ve been very slow in sales. But I still believe in 3L .org domains as they’re good investments.

IVE.net, JHG.net, IZY.net – Acquired these three 3L .net domains recently. Personally I like 3L .org more than 3L .net domains.

ScooterRentals.com – Category killer two word domain. Although I like to invest in brandable domains, I don’t mind buying high quality specific niche domains as well.

ExclusiveDesign.com – One of the finest two words design niche related domain.

FWFD.com, SGHS.com, KFSK.com, ZINJ.com, BMGM.com – As always I love to acquire random as well as pronounceable 4L .com domains if I like the combination and price altogether.

DnsNet.com – A domain for hosting, privacy, VPN, domain tools related service can acquire it.

LandH.com – This makes “land” and “h” which can be land+anything with the letter “h” or it can be Lawrence + Hall. Any two word person’s company name.

MatrixFinance.com, CheerHealth.com, FaithDigital.com, CityControl.com, CedarDigital.com – Such two word brandable domains are always good to invest in. I love buying them.

Licom.com, Avlux.com, N o m u s . c o m, Reflexer.com – These types of one word quality domains are difficult to acquire and need to pay top prices. But they do well when the right buyer knocks your door.

Harbach.com, AnneGray.com, Matovich.com, Caturano.com, JennaNicole.com – I always believe in investing in 1-2 word person names.

It’s not like I want to only show the high quality of domains I acquired recently but also want to share what I recently acquired from GoDaddy closeouts. Below are some of the closeouts I bought:

ProbitySolutions.com, JewelTone.com, SpringRoots.com, BlueHouseStudio.com, WestminsterLocksmith.com, 401kFiduciary.com, PerformanceArchitect.com, LuxuryContainers.com, LuvYourLife.com, Novelteez.com, MokaCafe.com.

Feel free to share your recent acquisitions and/or give your feedback on the domain acquisitions. The purpose of sharing my acquisitions is for others to know what kind of domains I buy which will give them an idea of what to look out for.

If you’ve similar quality domains I’ve shared and are looking to sell at wholesale level, do not hesitate to reach out to me. And lastly, if anyone is interested in having my domain consulting services, feel free to check this out
.

I am glad to hear that you are fine and doing great.

Thanks for the showcase and specially explaining the reasons behind the purchase. It's helpful for newbies like me.

Would love to see your future acquisition as well. :)

Thank you for sharing, this is very useful.
The December thing is a true anomaly indeed!

@AbdulBasit.com Congrats on your continued success! Very inspiring.

When you research domains to buy, do you care if googling the exact domain URL doesn't show the domain in the search result?

Thank you Dr (y)

I do search via Google but mostly I look for the companies if they exists using the same keyword I'm planning to buy. You can say that I focus more on upgrade domains.

@AbdulBasit.com I forgot that you were in Turkey. I am glad you are fine, my friend. I assume you were not in the affected areas.

Great buys, as always.

Sales: yes, surprising that you had 1 sale in December, but domains can be streaky.

Especially, the high end. The "bread and butter" section seem to be doing ok. I had 21 sales in December, 16 in January and 20 so far in February. But nothing above 3.5k though.

@AbdulBasit.com I am glad you are ok and safe.

Great picks as always my friend. Thanks for sharing the names, not many domainers do that openly and since I know you I also know the reason behind was always to give back to the community. I greatly admire what you do, this December perhaps was only a strange anomaly. Many would think having a great portfolio of such a quality names allows you to sit back and relax on what you have achieved so far. It is entirely the opposite : a few work as hard as Abdulbasit to get those acquisition deals over the line...

I am also happy to see your selections via closeouts : my model and approach is tied significantly to find lower tier gems for XX$. Seeing you distributing even a small part of your portfolio towards those is reassuring.

Thanks for your concern. Yeah, all is well at my end.

Also thanks for your feedback which is appreciated since it's coming from a professional fellow investor (y)

Nice to see your sales flow. This helps in understanding a lot. I believe you've most of at least half of your portfolio priced under 5K? Mine is like 42% is priced at $9,888 and above which I think slows down the sales pace.

Thanks for the heads up, one was mistakenly added. Removed from the site. Requested the NP mod to remove it.

You are right. I have probably over 90% priced under $3k, 75% priced at or around $2500.

I was doing 4-5 5 figure sales a year prior to 2022, but have had just 1 in the past 14 months. While the expected should be in 3-6/year. So, yes, that segment is hurting the most unless for names targeting web3, nfts etc. They seem to live in their own pink pony land. For the rest of businesses, they cut/reduce all costs they think are not absolutely necessary.

But for under $3k names, it seems they still would pull the trigger albeit about 20% less than in 2021 overall.

My Feb sales are at 22 now. Total names: 26k+.

This helps me in understanding in several ways. It's good to see that your sales are picking up this month. Wish you all the success my friend (y)(y)

Please what format do you use to search companies URL with the keyword in concern?

A simple Google search for any specific keyword will show the results which you've to scan through and decide. There are then certain ways to modify your search like using www.keyword and "keyword", etc.

It's great to hear you're safe.

Yes, going through your acquisitions do help.

My question is:

For someone who, for one reason or the other, can not afford to amass domains like I see many experienced domainers do here,

What's your best advice to them?

Like I have around 25 domains. I'm planning to stop when my list reaches around 50. I've never sold a domain, and I can't afford to keep more than 50 domains right now. Where I come from, the $10 a domain cost can feed a family for weeks.

I came here in 2014 but when I didn't see success in a year I left to build niche websites. It paid me but in 2021, Google started its constant updates and my sites suffered.

Now I'm back and I don't intend to leave again.

So what advice can you give me? I'm only able to buy from deleted lists which I monitor daily.

In short, focus only on GoDaddy closeouts.

Ok. Did you mean I should type the very keyword in following www.Elephant"elephant"format to modify it?
