The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I am with Brad on this. It’s fun cruising around incognito handing out invisible brownie points and demerits.
Destroying knoobs reps
Adds flavour to popcorn.
Hey Brad one day it will all become public
And no one can see them now.
If they state they can, their playing poker with you and you lost.
What was point in namepros doing this anyways?
Tossed you some invisible upvotes Brad. Their well deserved

Hey mods. Why this thread not show in “ new posts” or “ what’s new” ¿
Wondering why I missed Brad’s and your replies. Thanks for helping Paul answer our questions

At the end the day, a moderator teams job is to enforce the rules as they are written without playing any favorites, regardless of a members status.

Each moderator may translate a post a little different (Sometimes solely based on a members habitual history with violations, reminders, warnings, etc.) resulting in a post being handled slightly different than another moderator may handle it.

In those cases, a member may request a dispute in a support thread or direct message to have another moderator team review the case. If the second moderator team finds that the rule or policy was indeed violated along with the first assessment, the dispute is finalized as such.

It's important to keep in mind that we have always tried to keep all posts in threads on topic, as well as threads in the correct forum sections. This makes it easier for members and visitors to find and sort through what they were actually looking for without having to skip through a bunch of off-topic posts/threads to find it.

Generally, moderators do not mind a few one-off comments like what you referenced (If they don't derail the thread), however, it's dependent on several factors (E.g. are they becoming so consistent that the thread topic has changed?, Are they blatantly off-topic changing the context of the thread immediately?, Has the member posting the off-topic commentary already been alerted or warned not to do it in that thread, yet continued to do so?, Does the post itself violate a rule or policy?, etc.).

Unfortunately, we do not have the data to answer that question as it's more tech related. Moderators do not handle technical related matters.

If I had to guess, it's because this thread is located in the support section and not any of the general topic or marketplace sections.

@Paul may be able to confirm or assist with that question, or you can start a technical support thread here: https://www.namepros.com/forums/namepros-tech-support.205/ to address it.

We hope that information helps.

Hello,

The following appraisal specific rules apply (In addition to the general rules):
5. Domain Appraisals and Website Reviews (»)
5.1. All appraisals below $10 USD must include a unique and constructive explanation to support the assessment.5.2. Rule 6.1.2 applies to appraisal requests.
5.3. No external links for an appraisal.
5.4. Post only domains you own under appraisals, otherwise use the Pre-Purchase Appraisal section.
7.1. All marketplace, discussion, and appraisal rules apply to the sections in the Insiders Club.
As indicated in the two rule references above, the appraisal rules apply for both, the general public appraisals and the non-indexed professional appraisals in the insiders club.

We hope that information helps

You can do this with the "Follow" button, but we don't have a way to create secondary lists yet.

Once you follow them, you can filter all content to just theirs by visiting your news feed:

Only moderators can do that, currently.

We're thinking about having a sort of "meta" area for threads where things like that, and even the moderation of a thread, can be discussed because those things are not part of the topic itself (and the topic is the reason that most people are reading a thread), but rather they're discussions about the thread itself (not its topic).

Here's a thread about this question:

We hope that helps.
But you are keeping it anonymous with a click spam ?

Why is the link to the GoDaddy Domain Academy censored?

Here is the link:

https://godaddy.com/s/domain-academy

It should be community dot godaddy dot com /s/domain-academy , but I cannot post it.

I think it's not good that you censor the content. It is not spam or illegal content at all. I don't see any reason to censor it.

I am not affiliated with GoDaddy, I just don't like this censorship.

Hello,

The automated system blocks links (automatically) believed to violate the following rule: 1.29 (»). Do not advertise, publicize, or promote external domain-related forums or communities on NamePros. This includes linking to pages that directly promote them. The only exception to this rule is local events and meetups that are in person (face to face).

We hope that information helps.

Ok, I didn't know that this rule is so strict. I just wanted to link to the GoDaddy Domain Academy page, I think it's not "promotion", just a simple forum post. But I admit it's your platform so you can set the rules.

Hi,

This comment is decreasing my impact rapidly, without logical reason!
I picked .dev / .app / .me from poll and shared my opinion in comment.
namepros.com/blog/domain-name-investors-make-predictions-for-2023.1291544/comment-8803071

Did I type something against namePro's rules?

Regards,

Thank you for your response.

According to the quoted posts by moderators about up/down votes, the comment is clear and everything is okay. I thought being active user and sharing opinions will increase my impact, but as you mentioned every user is a free to up/down votes and I accept that.

Regards,
- devXC

Hi, is there a place here where I can post the sale of a Facebook page that I have monetized?

You'll want to check FaceBook's terms of use regarding the sale/transfer of ownership for company pages.

For sales/promotions that are not domain related on NamePros, they should go in the promotional marketplace section located here: https://www.namepros.com/forums/promotional.15/

Be sure that your sale/transfer of ownership conforms with FaceBooks terms of use.

Sooo, I just went to check some of my old posts and found I can only go back 10 pages.
Thanks for bring to attention 11 days ago that we, you and me, maybe others, cant see past last 10 pages.
I can barely remember what happened yesterday so need a memory jog from the old posts sometimes.
Same here. If you can remember a word you said in a post you can still search it. They're still there somewhere..

:xf.smile:

Hello Mods,

Can I add dan profile url / dan domain sale link in signature?

Thanks
Hello,

Yes, you can link to your Dan profile in your signature area.

However, please keep the following signature related rules in mind:
1.21. Do not indirectly or directly refer to your signature block, suggest looking at your signature block, or include your content signature or signature block in any post; instead, use the signature block feature. Exceptions may be made if your signature is short and relevant or short and benign (e.g., your first name with no catch phrases and no domain names), especially in the marketplace and direct messages where content signatures are generally allowed.

3.2. Affiliate links are only permitted in the Available Domain Names and Expired Domains and Expiring Domains sections, and in signatures. Affiliate links must have the URL embedded in text as a hyperlink, not pasted as a URL. It must be noted when there are affiliate links in a post, e.g., "Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links."

4.1. Signatures may not include links to sites that contain explicit, sexually-orientated, illegal or obscene content.

We hope that information helps.

Due to multiple unauthorized promotion warnings on your account and you continuing to violate the same rule habitually, your account has been restricted for monitoring. You can still participate on NamePros, however all your posts will need to be manually reviewed by a moderator before they are published live to make sure you are following the rules for a while.

The insiders lounge is accessible to VIPs and Gold members.

Unfortunately, VIP status automatically removes when an account is restricted. Once your restriction expires and your account is in good standing again, your VIP status will be reinstated.

We hope that information helps.

I would like to know how much money the forum admins get from godaddy per month for censorship.
