Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The backorders went through, but at $9.88 instead of $1.88. I notified their support that it was not right for them to change the price and to refund me the hundreds of dollars. They refused.

When I backordered them I had received a backorder confirmation at the $1.88 price, but they said backorder confirmations are not guaranteed. That they are just an estimate, so they can change the price on you whenever they want. I've been with them since they started and I have given them thousands and thousands in business, but they refused to do the right thing and send a refund. This had actually happened before with the US extension and they again refused to refund.

That sounds like a very unfair business practice, at least to me. Any others out there have similar recent experiences with this particular problem? If it is becoming more widespread of an issue, perhaps a member alert could be posted.

I don’t know if its allowed on this forum but please stop marketing to me via DM to bring my names over to SAV landers. Thanks.
Yeah, I've checked in this morning and got the below message....

"Hi there! We’ve noticed your recent posts in threads expressing frustration about increased commission where you currently list your domains. Sav only has a 4% commission, which is the lowest among leading marketplaces! To make things easy on you, we’d love to move your portfolio to Sav for you. All you’d need to do is email [email protected] with an export from your current marketplace, and the email address associated with your Sav account."

I posted on Namepros last year I won't be using SAV for any type of business after the ball ache of getting my funds

Lazy marketing and annoying.........I don't like people sending me unsolicited sales/marketing messages on here or anywhere else........

@Nick R tell your team not to do it again please

I really don’t understand.
It’s like they’re trying to do the best they can, to send away their customers…

I'm sure they have good intentions, just lack competence and/or empathy in some cases. It's good to see a domainer-friendly registrar emerge to compete with the big players, however a time will come when they will either mature or perish. Hopefully the former.

I've used sav landers + afternic listings for over a year (same price on both), and during that time I had zero sales through sav and all sales through afternic. So I switched to afternic nameservers even before the recent commission change. Sad reality.
Yes, you have definitely been giving them a try, for both of you to try to succeed. It's unfortunate that that didn't happen.

Yes. For Sav.com on this thread, hopefully they understand that there are folks here that really would like use your services AND be successful thanks to your company. So please help that happen.

It no doubt presents some challenges for a company to be in the fray here on Namepros, answering questions and dealing with problems publicly on these threads. It's great that they have an active thread here, and hopefully that will benefit everyone in the long run.

Improvements matter.

I did read that. The Glassdoor is an interesting site for employees or former employees of workplaces like registrars to provide commentary. The challenge is, though, how valid the feedback is. There appears to be no response mechanism for the company to respond---or is there?
Hopefully, if those issues did exist, they have since been corrected.

@Future Sensors - We will look at updating that wording in a future push.

A quick update on what we are working on for launch in the coming weeks:
  • A completely revamped transfer in interface with realtime updates on the transfer status
  • The ability to update an auth code and restart failed transfers in
  • See what domains are disabled due to contact verification failures and how to re-activate them
  • Bulk export auth codes
  • See domains that are pending transfer out and ACK/NACK the transfers in bulk
Thank you to everyone for all the great suggestions, kind DMs and passion for Sav! We will see you next week.

A General Reminder:
When an issue does come up, please submit a support ticket to [email protected] and DM us the ticket number & your email so we can look into it right away. We are unable to look into any issues posted directly in this thread as we do not have a way to access your Sav account based off your NP username.
Was this item ever implemented?
  • Bulk export auth codes

@Nick R could to add white label marketplace and possibilities for selling domains registered outside of the Sav.

After listing some of my domains on your auction site today, I noticed that there is no direct interface to see which domains are listed and what bids, if any, have been received.
Are you working on providing such an interface? The export csv is Ok, but having a direct panel for this would be helpful.

Also, I finally put up my first Sav Lander today. My one concern is that it doesn't support https at this point. In Chrome, the browser indicates not secure. Is this going to be fixed in the near future? Secure landers might really be helpful for sales.

I've started getting an interesting error message any time I want to renew my domains at SAV:
"This type of email address is not supported. Please reach out to support to update your email address."
It is very odd, as my email is the same as ever. How can a valid email address not be supported? :D Anyway, I tried adding new payment methods (e.g. new card) but I received the same message. The problem is with the email address, which makes no sense. I wanted to renew a lot of domains at SAV, but I cannot do it, as their system is broken. I had no other choice but to transfer them out. Fortunately, the transfer process is working flawlessly.

For me today it’s the eleventh day I can’t change NS in all my .us domains. I reported that in support but they are still trying…

@Nick R

SAV is always very slow for me and non-functional lately:
  1. I can't update Nameservers
  2. I get error when I try to unlock domains or get Auth code
  3. Changing DNS is very very slow and sometimes does not work!

Fix your platform!

NS for .us domains are still dead. They are pointing to nowhere for 14 days.
Also backorders and won auctions of .us domains don’t work properly.
They are charging you normally, but they are not delivering the domain.
You have to email support, to ask them look for every single one domain you have won…
I m just sending tickets all day long…

@Nick R

hi, could you add bitcoin payout method?

Seller sold a domain on Sav Is it possible to use funds (account balance) for new purchases and new domain registration or back orders ?
You can choose to be paid instantly* when your domain sells, or set your account to request payouts on demand. We offer many popular payout methods like ACH, Wire Transfer, PayPal and Instant Debit card. Fees for each payout method vary and are paid by the seller. Not all payout methods are available in all countries. Fund are available for new sellers five days after the order is fulfilled.

Thanks for raising these concerns again. I'm eager to hear Sav's response, as I am considering the transfer of some domains to this registrar.
So, to Sav Customer Service, have these issues been resolved?

@Nick R can you help please? I've been trying to place backorders on Sav but I always get the error message "An Unknown Error Occurred."

How can I fix the error please?

@Nick R

I m still waiting for you to fix the NS of all .US domains, which points to nowhere for 22 consecutive days!!

Also, today I m not able to unlock my domains.
Every unlock attempt fails with no reason

the lack of resolutions to these issues is worrying me ... as I'm trying to decide between SAV and dynadot

@Nick R
For the first time, I learned that the bank wire request exceeded a $5000 USD transfer.
It appears that no one at Namepros pays by bank wire. I am the unlucky one

Could you please ask your leader to allow me to pay by bank wire with $3,665.14 ???
