discuss Names that taken in 2,000 Extensions

I saw too many requests want to buy Names that taken in 2,000 Extensions?
What is the reason? To me the more extensions the name is registered the more chance that you will be trouble with Trade Marks if they are live Websites.

Sometimes we lead the Newbies in the wrong directions with all the "MAKE UP" information:
- Godaddy appraises over $10,000
- Similar names sold in the past - If IamStupid.com sold for $100,000 will YouAreStupid.com be sold in the same range?
- One Word Premium - Budget $10-$1,000 - Total Budget $10,000,000
- Wholesale price - Can you sell end user price here?
- One Word - 6 character MAX?
- Traffic Names that make $1,000,000 a Year
etc...

Possibly. Buyers do need to be aware of potential trademark issues specific to each domain.

To acquire a generic or descriptive .com domain for example where many other extensions are taken can give you the opportunity to reach out to many potential buyers for them to upgrade to the .com version. On the flip side, if no-one owned any of the other extensions, then the domain may not be a popular term and buyers may be more inclined to register an alternate extension.

Rightly pricing your domain comes with experience but comparable past sales can be used as an indicator.
