DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

In theory having Afteric on/off listing is a nice feature to have. However I'm experiencing errors/conflicts on multiple domains when trying to enable Afternic listing after setting the Afternic buy price. The error in Afternic status column says "Already Listed. (Listing Failure)". I double checked my Godaddy, Afternic, Sedo, Uniregistry, etc accounts to make sure that none of those domains were actively listed for sale. They may have been listed as Godaddy auctions at some point in the past, then removed. I dunno. I've enabled the Afternic distribution feature in DAN settings. Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing this? Do I need to go back to the domains in question and add DAN txt file to fix it? Once DAN allows a domain to be listed, it seems they give benefit of doubt that the domain owner is listing it. So why not be consistent and do the same for the Afternic enable feature.
Good morning Maxxo,

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

As this integration is rather large and new we still have to factor out some minor details to make the process smoothly for all users. If you do encounter domains that show the "Already Listed" status, we ask you to add one of your ownership verification records and notify our support once this is done. In turn, we will trigger the migration process and notify you once the names are moved under your name.

Could you contact our support to have your portfolio investigated and get assistance to get them all listed properly?

I have verified domain at DAN but they are asking to prove it again on Afternic. This is crazy man!
Hi there @sg08,

This should not be the case.

Could you relay the domain and case example to our support to have this investigated?

@LaszloSchenk

Now that the GoDaddy logo is dominant on your sales lander, it would be better to remove that 4.6 Trust Pilot rating.

They can then create their own feedback page where customers write their Dan exp.

same problem here. It works when using dan.com/buy-domain/example.com

Contacted the support and they're looking into it.

It works when using dan.com/buy-domain/example.com

Of course it works that way because dan.com uses Cloudflare name servers, not the ns1.dan and ns2.dan that our landers are using : )

I guess that “sales” at Dan aren’t binding?

Yesterday “sold” a domain for $25k (to be paid in 10 installments of $2500).

Today Dan messages me to say the “buyer” doesn’t want the domain anymore.

Feels like the deal is going to probably be canceled... Fine, that can happen with installment deals… But shouldn’t the “buyer” be on the hook for that first payment? Just like if they decide they don’t want to continue after five months - fine, but the seller keeps what has already been paid…

Good morning @sg08,

Thank you for your response.

The initial message that reached our support stated the domain was already listed at Afternic, which is why the verification was requested. However, it appears to involve a listing failure which could have a number of reasons causing it. The technical team is working on getting these reasons communicated more effectively, and I expect this to get altered throughout this week!

We will keep you posted on the developments.

I have actually noticed that the GoDaddy logo is dominant only on mobile. What's the plan @LaszloSchenk ?
Hi there,

Dan.com, a Godaddy Brand is shown on all pages both on mobile and on a desktop. The TrustPilot reviews will remain presented as it is something that the users with no experience in this industry are familiar with and works positively on the conversions.

Have a nice week.

Good morning @blockhead,

You are absolutely right! When an agreement is reached for an LTO and one payment is made, the buyer is always free to terminate their installment plan but all previously paid terms are yours to keep. However, in some corner cases a buyer files for a chargeback which is why our representatives ask for a bit more time to ensure this one still comes through for you.

The representative that updated you will keep you posted on the developments.

I am personally seeing a drop in number of views of my portfolio post the inclusion in the afternic network. Maybe my assumptions, but what I am finding is that in the past couple of months have seen almost a 20%+ drop in my traffic. Actually after inclusion of afternic network I had expected jump in traffic because more distribution channels, but seeing the opposite.

Hi Laszio, A Godaddy brand is dominant on mobile, but it is not dominant on a desktop / laptop. May I ask why?
Thanks

This could be because when someone search the domain on a DAN/Afternic partner registrar, your domain display there with price and they don't need to visit DAN page directly.
See one of my domain as example.
