The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Bank wire isn't always a better solution depending on country and if you need the funds to be usable online and quickly. For many Paypal is the best option for them. There are no fees for Paypal when selling on Afternic. So the question is whether Dan will be the same for domains sold via Afternic integration.

This new "Afternic" series of columns in the My Domains view is screwing everything up and takes up sooooo much room that I can't see valuable info like Leads or Views without scrolling and scrolling each and every time I want to look.

There seems to be no way to disable it, as it's an entire set of Afternic-only fields and the ones available in Views are already disabled.

This is insane, and I realize you want people to join the Afternic network, but it's still insane to just arbitrarily take over the My Domains view with AFTERNIC - LOOK HERE!! without any way to disable it.

I can disable them by going to "options " then "change view".

Did it work though? I can disable them all day but the Afternic section (3 columns) remains on my display.

These are the only new Afternic options I can see and clearly they are disabled:

You have to turn on those options to hide the Afternic columns.

So it's set up backwards, as everything else a checkmark = display? LOL

Yeah it is.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm wondering if it's worth it, as Dan is likely to fix this error quick and I'll have to reset it again. Decisions, decisions.

At least it does work and I'm going with the "backwards land" fix for now.

Hi @LaszloSchenk

A few questions
2. How do we list domains for distribution if a domain is already listed by someone else on Afternic?
The only way for me to remove my domain added by someone else, had to contact Afternic and provide proof that I own the domain, if i remember proper I have send them WHOIS screenshot of the domain in question, only after that they removed from that user and I could list on Afternic if I wanted.

If you clear your browser cookie history and login again. It works fine.

LOL, I hate being right - Dan must have just fixed it, as now DISABLING the Afternic sliders turns off the columns.

Can someone at DAN explain why the domains for sale dashboard view with column preference must be changed by user every time and does not save user column view preferences? Seems like Godaddy can affort to drop a few dollars on a web developer to improve the "domains for sale" column view UI. Column view settings should be able to be saved and also user should have ability to change horizontal order of columns. This is standard with table views feautures for many services that used columns to display data. See screenshot

I agree move the Afternic columns to the far right and move the views tab to the left. Its awful this way.

Delete all cookies and that goes away too. It’s temporary.

A column "afternic price" appears in dan's tab for changing price on afternic...
A new csv import with this column would be nice for bg portfolios...

Dan.com product update #7 (Afternic DLS Network integration)

@LaszloSchenk I have a question. Suppose my domain name has been added by someone else on Afternic, will that listing be automatically deleted? And suggest I delete all my domain names at Afternic now and I enable Afternic DLS at Dan.com. Can it happen that other people add my domain names to Afternic?
Good morning @td11,

Thank you for raising these questions. In answering them:
- You will find a status in your My Domains section under the Afternic Distribution tab stating (Already listed / Listing failure). In this case, you can contact our support, and they will guide you into getting this sorted. It will only require you to add an ownership verification TXT record. Once this is done, you can notify our support team, and they will take it from there.
- We do not recommend deleting any domains from Afternic. If you already have our domains listed with Afternic, it is best to keep things as they are. It will ensure no downtime for your landing pages, and the exposure will remain the same.
- The Afternic Distribution feature will be of no influence on other people adding your domain names to the Afternic Network.

Have a great day!

Hi @LaszloSchenk

A few questions
1. Can you confirm that the Afternic integration includes fast transfer?
2. How do we list domains for distribution if a domain is already listed by someone else on Afternic?
3. Will Sedo MLS integration be added soon? If you add Sedo integration I would consider moving all my domains to Dan.
4. Will domains over $2k which are sold on Dan via Afternic still incur 4% Paypal fees or will it be just like selling on Afternic (no fees)? If there is still fees this would be negative for many people to list on Dan since the commission for Paypal users will in reality be 25%!
Good morning Janoss,

Thank you for your questions.

1. This is not part of the integration. We will be processing the transfers at our usual speed.
2. I would always recommend following the instructions given by the pop-up presented in your My Domains section. Depending on the listing status, different actions can be taken to bypass this, but in general, adding an ownership verification record and notifying our support team right after will suffice in getting your names listed.
3. We have no news regarding this as it is not part of the Afternic Integration that we have just released.
4. The payout fees remain unchanged. We offer different payout options to prevent any additional processing fees from getting incurred.

Have a nice day!

With each Dan update, the interactive and informational pages just get busier and busier and busier, until they get so clogged up as to be near-unusable.

The latest update is a prime example, where on the Dashboard, multiple lines of double-spaced (and mostly extraneous) data is now sitting under the Domains for Sale, Leads the Month and Transactions this Month headers, which has the unfortunate impact of pushing the all-important TRANSACTION ACTIVITY window even lower on the page.

As a domain investor, I go to Dan primarily to view and interact with Offers, Counters, Comments and Sales, not to see my Domains split out between Parked and Unparked or Sales broken out between Self-negotiated and Brokered.

At this point, on my 15" high-rez MS Surface Laptop, the Activity section is at the bottom-half of the page, and my fifth active transaction is now below the fold. That's poor design to say the least.

The Activity section is where the majority of your buyer interactions and updates will take place and IMO this is the most important area on the entire Dan site. It should be right at the top, well above the fold, and if not, then stop adding more junk data on top, which just pushes it lower and lower on the page.

My advice as a systems analyst, is to take the Revenue and Activity sections and put them at the top of the Dashboard, then your designers can add extraneous data to their heart's content below that.

Can we expect a reverse integration too – all Afternic-listed domains being available at Dan.com?

It would be nice to be able to directly make an offer on other listed domains while logged into the account. It doesn't make sense to fill in the name, surname, email etc. each time.

And please stop making the design even uglier and work with a decent UI/UX expert.

Good morning @capybara,

Thank you for your message.

The current integration has not incorporated this yet, but we will keep you posted on any developments!
