You do not know the mechanism of the personal name. There can be many personalities in the world named Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Tom Cruise etc. Whoever bought the domain name is his only. He is the owner that set. nobody can challenge him. i f i am barak obama too then who will take away from me ?no never. hope you got it.

Did you read what I posted?.......No you just went on rant

Many personalities named Elon Musk, Tom Cruise, Jeff Bezos?.... Really?:ROFL:

You are not Barack Obama......you are someone who owns domains named after celebrities hoping to sell to them...If you owned your name then that would be different, but you are just trying to exploit/profit from someone else's brand......

Reach out them, see how it goes.......I'm done posting here

Realize that the celebrities can take the name from you if they want to.

Then use the experience to create content and make money off you.

You have a portfolio of bad faith as admissible evidence.

@John garcia As Nick said, bad idea. Such domains only hold value due to the brand of the famous person. Hence, you'd be seen as taking advantage. Don't bother

You are lucky if the Celebrities only sue you to get the domains. Will be a more problem if you put a website on the domains, and they sue you for damages for Copyrights infringement. You'll have to pay alot of money...

Regardless of legal troubles, it's a bad idea to buy domain with only one customer in mind (and there is no others exist for names of course). Most likely - if he/she being famous already with huge online presence and never registered this domain, it's not because they weren't aware of it, but simply because it wasn't necessary at all. So, the least outcome - celebrity will ignore you, the most - will be pissed off, and yes - with letter from a laywer.

In addition to what others have mentioned, you also do not want to monetize the domain in a way that could accidently/intentionally profit off of a celebrity's name. That means no parking, no landing page, and no developing in a way that generates a profit while referencing a celebrity. This can be used as intent to profit, even if it was an accident due to a randomized advertisement displaying that profits off of a click, lead, or sale.

It's generally best to avoid anything trademarked (Existing famous people's names, known brand names, etc.) or copyrighted (Existing slogans, mission statements, etc.).
