Musk hasn’t done much with X.com — the website currently exists with just a single X on a white background. But when he agreed in May to acquire Twitter for $44 billion, he established a holding company that would swallow Twitter once the acquisition completed, and he named it X Holdings.

In a discussion with Twitter employees earlier in the acquisition process, Musk did bring up a desire to build a “super app,” a concept that has become ubiquitous in China, with offerings like WeChat, but has yet to find an equivalent in the U.S.

Elon could just push X.com to my account LOL, I find it interesting that Musk hasn't put the single letter dot com to work yet, but knowing Musk, when he does, its going to be BIG. HUGE, and exciting.

true but building a fully fledged out social network (to reach hundreds of millions of users) is not easy. google tried throwing billions of dollars into google+ and it never worked out. they even tried converting youtube into google+ and that backfired. so throwing a few bucks into twitter is smart. worse case scenario he can always sell twitter if it doesnt work out.

The Twitter purchase is a tactic by Elon IMO , it will succeed , Elon has been told , “You can’t do that , “That won’t work” sooo many times , Musk is the Richest person in the entire world , he did that somewhat quietly . But now that he is notable for everything he does , people are doubting him I think , most of his ventures weren’t even public , he just went and did what he does , then was noticed and became a figure, but he had already made his fortune , and few new about it .

he should look into Deso since everyone has their own coin.. whats the vested interest like twitter 2.0

facebook also off on web3 tangents abandoning the revolutionary internet domains whereas Nothing To Download
so 7 billion people have access freely to .com yours (why i hate apps)

Both platforms , Twitter and Facebook need a new burst of energy put into them , knowing how Elon thought process is , he will bring in super technology into the platform , I think Elon will go with several different things that can be achieved by using the platform , the integrations should bring excitement to users IMO

Dad is a multimillionaire, Son is the richest person in the complete world . There is nothing wrong with people that are born into wealth , born with a silver spoon , it brings animosity from some people , but that is just jealousy IMO .. no one has a choice what they are born into .

Now that Elon is the owner of Twitter, I wonder what he will do with X.com, not sure if he will create another social network, no need for it anymore, maybe he will redirect X.com to Twitter.

He also created a holding company named "X Holdings". Musk’s X Holdings I, Inc. will now own all the stock of the social network. Twitter will also be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange on November 8.

Elon should buy Meta/Facebook for VR, he is a genius and I'm sure he would boost the metaverse development, but don't know if he believes in that. He would rather go to Mars in reality. Twitter is just to uncensor his voice/plans.

Better yet: CNN. I'll check out Mars for the experience when its just as comfortable / beautiful as Earth (and safe), and that's a long way off. So many variables involved to make another rock habitable and appealing, to even think about working on it now is so early. We've got more important problems on this rock (the best rock we've ever had) to deal with. Mars is so secondary, compared to other stuff
