Strange situation in Dropcatch.com

In name bio it's showing Otro.com sold for $26038 in dropcatch on 18-9 of this month( yesterday )

But today 19-9 it's in auction again in dropcatch ( auction ending today )

Can someone explain this situation , I think dropcatch don't conduct one day auctions

DropCatch has been criticized on NP many times for shill bidding. Another failed auction doesn't surprise anyone here.

Hi , when we search otro.com in namebio it shows it sold for $26038 , but in reality it don't sold for $26038 but it got bidding amount of that much , and possibly there may be many domains like this , so that is why I mentioned not always accurate

On venues that run the auction again when the winner fails to pay, we leave the original record up until the new auction closes and then we replace the record. So now when you search Otro you only see $15,938 but while the second auction was still going you could see the results of the original auction.

But you're right, there's no way to be 100% accurate all the time. The only way to do that would be if every venue worked with us to only report what actually completed successfully. And even then you'd get the results days late, because people aren't required to pay right away. I doubt that'll ever happen, but we try our best to keep the data clean given the circumstances.
