Hi everyone,
so I just started outbound marketing for a few domains.

I set up a series of 4 emails:

1) Telling them the domain is available for sale
2) Highlighting the benefits of the domain
3) Highlighting in general the benefits of a premium domain
4) Last call

The domains are set with a BIN price on DAN.COM

A few days ago I've got an answer from a big company asking for prices.

The day after I replied by listing the prices and I offered a discount for bulk orders.

But since then I didn't get any more replies.

What should I do now?

Wait?
Call?
Email him again?

Outbound experts, please advise!

Thanks

P

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I am not an outbound expert but if they are interested they would respond back. Maybe they didn’t like the price.

If you have allready sent 4 emails I say sit back and wait. Outbounding on average quality domains rarely works except at XXX level. I would wait a few weeks and send a final email. Anything else just comes across as desperate or aggressive.

Two questions for the experts here related to this:
1) Is it better to offer a price range for the outbound offer now, rather than the bulk order discount?
2) For other domains when outbounding, is it better to offer a price range, rather than a set price? And is it as effective doing this through directing to a marketplace such as DAN, or offering to do it as a private transaction such as through Escrow?

Agreed

@TopBrandsForSale If it's a big company, they're going to be aware of a lot of the things you're selling them on. Often, you're wasting your time. If they really wanted something you've got, they'd be knocking on your door, not the other way around

Big companies have big inertia.

Don't be surprised if one of these will get back to you with an order after a few months.

That's a long time to have to wait. Have you had that experience? And, if so, were you very happy with the final sale price?

I'm actually dealing with a guy from a construction company. He replied to my email saying they were interested.

I replied back with prices, never heard back from him 😅

Hi there, do you think running targeted ads on social media is equal to outbound in terms of possible issues with Trademarks? I have a bunch of domains I would advertise to the right companies but I'm afraid of possible trademark issues if I do so. So I'm thinking maybe an advertisement could be the right workaround to avoid this.

I mean something like SH and BB do for their domains, I would do for mine as well but targeting the right people.

What do you think?

What do SH and BB mean? Thank you for helping people understand what you mean.

Squadhelp and BrandBucket. There is quite a bit of geek speak on this forum, and it's always fine to ask for clarification.
If you go to Squadhelp and Brandbucket, there is quite a bit of information about the way they try to help a business choose a name and branding for their products. Domains acceptd for marketing on these sites are often considered more exclusive and potentially more valuable.
