To much of the advice on this forum is coming from people like me, who don't know shit.
So creating a directory of users who have found success would be helpful for does who desire to do the same.

So In terms of achieved sales and current domain estate ownership, who do you consider to be one of the most successful domainer at NamePros?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Success is measured in many ways. An easy pick for me is @bmugford, or the much loved @Bob Hawkes. Knowledgeable, engaging and likeable, like many others. I pick those traits, above all

If you don't know sh*t, how do you know they don't?

Don't know sh*t, in comparison to* Even if many people have seen small success with a online business, they would properly benefit from the advice of Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk, dont you think?

Yes agree, but this tread is for financial (so dont write Siddharta), and actual results is overall the most accurate measurement. Top namepros value contributors would be a different thread (and a good one).

in my opinion the best domainer is the one who doesn't want to flaunt, the one who doesn't talk much and gives advice to anyone professing himself an expert, but one who knows his stuff well and does business silently.
he makes the facts speak, not the words.
many of them, as they are unwilling\not interested to show off, we have little to no idea of their great business skills

You could just Google all-time great domain sales / domain investors, the sales they've been apart of etc, you'll find a fair list. The members I've mentioned are equally respected in their own right

Exactly, these are the people I am looking for ^^ Yet its not always about the "showing off", more about the willingness to share. This is a competitive industry after all.

these people want to work quietly. They have no benefit in sharing their success and they do not have the overwhelming need to flaunt to prove their worth.

then, I just wanted to say that there is no such thing as the best domainer. Everyone does their best with the capital they have at their disposal

The best domainer? At least the one who is profitable. The was a NP poll some time ago and surprisingly high %% of participants indicated that they actually lost $$$ so far. Also, since we are speaking about a forum, one would guess that the best domainers in this context are not those who are using the forum exclusively to report their own sales or purchases, but those who also contribute in other ways. The last but not the least, best or most successful domainers frequently do not need or want to report their sales or purchases at all :)

After using Namepros as a learning platform for a while you should work out who is worth reading, following etc etc

Lot's of historical threads on here with the same people posting common sense responses , providing information, answering questions and general good manners to see who is who and who is just a douche......

Some report their sales, some don't so it's not a metric I go by when deciding on who to pay attention to - you can do your own research to back up claims, details etc etc

This thread quickly went off hill and my clickbate title is mostly who to blame (my bad). I asked for people to list users with the most successful porfolios / porfolio sales, yet everyone decided to answer the quastion of "what makes a good domainer"
and
"who is the best namepros contributer".

This info is already available for everyone who wants to view it here:
https://www.namepros.com/members/?key=highest_reaction_score
https://www.namepros.com/members/?key=most_points

Since many also decided to answer my question by asking the question "WHY do you want to know this"
Well, To view their portfolios, see their comments/posts. Basically everything they have been comforable with sharing. Alot of the value they share will be limited, because it is valuable. That's why its hard to find, but this is not a reason not to seek it. Just thought we could do it together... guess not.

The best domainers are those who realize that there is no shortcut to such insight. You will unfortunately have to read this forum cover to cover to get a bit of an idea of the players, big and small. Everyone has a different measure of success. Also try to appreciate those who report small sales every now and then. I wish you a lot of reading pleasure.

I like this^ So who are some users who you consider have done this?

Imo, no domainer, best or not the best under whatever methodology, cannot know everything... The forum itself has a lot of useful info though - cumulative knowledge (sort of). In particular, any new member looking for info should visit and read Warning and Alerts section among others: https://www.namepros.com/forums/warnings-and-alerts.90/ . There are a lot of things to read, including alerts of 2018/2019. Unfortunately, we are not in paradise, and many antiheroes are still "in business".

Yes, but my point was that they mostly do it for their willingness to share and not for their desire to show off. Too optimistic?

I pointed you to two professional domain investors who are willing to share their results each year. Any 'showing off' is one's own interpretation, which may not reflect reality.

Your misunderstanding me. Yes, I listen to it. It was good. Thank you.

Well, the problem is you asked a highly subjective question.

Define what "best" means.
