DaaZ.com is a premium domain names marketplace owned by DaaZ Limited, London (UK).

Key vision of DaaZ.com is helping buyers and sellers to transact with each other in a trusted way.

DaaZ.com key focus is end user focused sales and we have been operational since August 2019 and we have made a quite good progress and supported few thousands buyers buying domains via DaaZ and also having around 800+ sellers offering their inventory for sale. We have registered buyer base of 4000+ buyers.

It may not be lot in terms of numbers, we are the youngest marketplace (without any registrar presence). We have made a good reputation and able to build the traction.

How we are different ?

We may not be too different at moment, we are sharing what we believe is our core offerings:
  • We have developed a platform which is having a very good buyers interface, specially helping wholesale or repeated buyers securing domain names.
  • We allow the listings for free, it's open for all sellers (aka domainers) and support 1400+ domain extensions
  • Sellers can run any time auctions. This feature help for regular cash-flow needed by the sellers. (Disclaimer: At present very few end users participate into these auctions, mostly domainers / resellers winning the names )
  • Lowest Success Fee: Our success fee is 8% (with chargeback protection included) is the lowest in the industry offered by any domain name marketplace.
  • We pay to the sellers via PayPal / Wire transfers. No PayPal withdrawal or pay-out fees, all fees covered by DaaZ with in 8% success fee (In short, no indirect fees)
  • We offer live chat support round the clock (Although we are not officially 24/7, we are offering near 24/7 support). We look after our buyers and sellers with great attention.
  • We love automation of the processes; however we do believe the human interaction with the buyers makes a lot of difference. So, we automated what we believe is required to automate and we kept those human interactions with the buyers or sellers where we believe is required to be in place
We are open to listening to our buyers and sellers and improve the platform every month. We are making two improvement releases a month to fix the product related issues and also bringing new features.

We believe our customers are our gods and we help them in all possible means we can. That's clearly reflecting in our customer reviews, we are proud to share we are a new market place however according to Trustpilot we have secured the highest customer trust among all domain name market places in 2020 with 4.9 trust rating : https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/daaz.com

What we believe we need to improve ?

We believe a platform will be never perfect and has to continue to listen to our customers and deliver a platform of their choice. So, we have a clear outlined process to receive the feedback and handle the product improvements effectively
  • We are relatively a young platform, so we have a lot of room to improve on number of features and catch-up, we are addressing the backlog with a lot of passion
  • We are aware that we need to bring the installment plan, rent to own features, also a powerful API to help the bulk sellers. We have clearly these features in our product road-map for 2021.
  • We have a lot more innovative ideas not attempted by any other marketplace, we are focusing to address the industry standard offerings first before moving on delivering these innovative ideas to help the domain investors / sellers
  • We also record every suggestion given by our buyers and sellers, we analyse the feedback, and all the appropriate feedback is getting added to backlog
  • Our road-map is ready for next 5 years and we will do everything possible to help to improve the standards of domain name marketplace
We love to listen to the NamePros community hence we are setting up this Official thread.

@DaaZ For BTC payout verification, can I add a "physical watermark" (e.g. a tape with the words "FOR DaaZ ONLY") on non-critical areas of the ID document? Every site these days get hacked so easily, so I hope I'm allowed to take precautions to prevent any unforeseen ID thefts.

that's fine.. please make sure water mark doesn't cover the critical info required to validate the profile.

@DaaZ I see in the verification area your site only mentioned [Driver's license] and [Passport]. Does that mean that [National ID Card] is not allowed/supported?

I am buying a name at DaaZ and need to pay by wire transfer. Has anyone done this, and was it without problems? It seems to be a Wise bank account.

@DaaZ
You can buy without any hesitation. Wire transfer is a common payment method supported by us. If you have any questions feel free to contact our support team, we will be happy to help.

Few important updates related to payment methods and success fees:

a) DaaZ has started offering 1% discount each to both the buyer and seller on wire transfer payment method, as a result the bin transactions are going to cost 4% to the seller and technically 3% considering buyer get 1% discount too.

b) From Nov 23rd onwards we are changing the minimum transaction fee to 5 USD. So far we have offered the industry low transaction fee of just 1 USD . Kindly note we are making losses on these small sales, especially offering at 1 USD, so we end up optimizing the minimum success fee.

At present our success fee on a 20 USD BIN transaction is as low as 1 USD and DaaZ secure ( import lead aka escrow ) minimum success fee is 2 USD.

Kindly note, we are loosing heavily in processing fees apart from spending a lot quality efforts on these small transactions. Starting 23rd Nov 2022 , we are revising the minimum success fee to 5 USD. We fully appreciate your kind understanding and support on this change.

DaaZ is looking to prepare the roadmap for 2023 .
Although we have some clear priorities planned for 2023, it is important to understand your expectations too. Afterall DaaZ is started with the main objective of building a domainer friendly marketplace.

Kindly "ask for" the things you would love to see in 2023. It will be our pleasure to add those expectations into DaaZ's 2023 roadmap.

Thanks a lot. Any additional new features you would love to see ?

We are focusing on making the APIs available to all by 31-Jan-2023. Also we are looking to release new landing page themes by mid of February-23.

Also looking to make the end to end transaction closure automated by June-23. This will help to ensure the same service quality like we are offering for any number of transactions may happen on DaaZ.

The list goes on - we have circa 30 features in our queue.

At the same time we also want to make sure we understand the expectations of domainers and make sure we develop the product suites to you :)

I like the idea but there are a few things that need to be changed before I would be willing to sign up and list my domains with Daaz:

1. You need a complete design overhaul. A nice and modern design is key in order to establish trust with buyers and sellers. It looks kind of "shady" at the moment. Hire a proper UX designer that can do a professional overhaul. Just from a quick look at the start page, there are many things that need improvement: margins are completely off, and images are being stretched or shrunk (check the payment logos that look horrible).

2. You need a professional logo. The current one you are using looks as it belongs in the 90s.

3. You need better landers. The design now is not optimized at all. Again - hire a professional designer (not a cheap Upwork WordPress designer) that knows how to A/B test everything in order to optimize it so that it is perfect. Don't re-invent the wheel. Look at the landers at DAN and do something similar. There is a reason why they are/were so successful. Everything was on point.

Take the plunge! Pay whatever you need to pay. IT WILL PAY OFF in the long run and you will see more users coming your way.

This should be your first priority imo. Many will not give you a chance before these things are in place. I will not sign up before these things are in place. Without a good design, many will not check out your other features and actually give you a chance.

Please take this post the right way. I and many many others would like to see a good alternative to GD/Dan.

Here for instance - why not have a link to the actual fees when you click on that? UX design 101.

Thanks for the feedback. Certainly we will improve on some of those points quickly. We will post once the improvements are made.

Awesome! And remember that it is nothing wrong with copying other (within limits). If you are not funded enough to hire UX people - just hire regular designers and tell them to create something "similar" to other successful businesses (DAN). They have done A/B testing for sure.

Here is another example. I am sitting on a regular 27" monitor. Everything is so stretched out so it makes it difficult to read for me. It is nice that it is responsive but there should be some kind of limit horizontally. Look how stretched out that search field is - I could almost write a novel there without it capping my text.

There is clearly an opportunity to improve for sure. Perhaps DaaZ 2.0 is the answer for it. At moment the focus is to improve those quick improvements then come-up with a brand new version with the better UX. We have been improving on features side for last 5+ years and will stay focused to improve the UX part too.

Completely agree with points 1 and 2 (haven't seen any landers). I'd like to try Daaz but my first thoughts when visiting is how dated the site looks. I hope there is an update in the works, then I'll give it a go.

How do you know it works for travel industry-specific domains? Have you done AB-testing or are you guessing it might work for travel industry names?
This theme in use since 2019, quoted based on what we have observed over last 3+ years. Not a complete guess work, at the same time we have not done any AB testing on our own.
