Hi everyone,

how much does it count in terms of sales percentage having your domain listed on Afternic with the FastTransfer feature?

Most of my domains are registered in less than 60 days, so I'll have to wait.

Also, most of them are registered with NameCheap, so I can't activate SedoMLS.

Is it worth the hassle? Does it boost your sales?

And anyway which registrar do you suggest between DynaDot and NameCheap to keep your domains?

Thanks ya'll!

Afternic is better than SEDO, imo. Fast Transfer is even better. Sedo MLS - never worked for me (although I have like 90% listed with them too.
Dynadot and Epik all the way (but yes, Dynadot supports Fast Transfer, and Epik does not currently).

Thank you!
So do you suggest to switch to dynadot anyway even if the sedomls listing is not important right? Are you still listing your domains on sedomls?

Since most of my domains are quite new I can't still register them on Afternic premium fast transfer. Do you think I will notice the difference in terms of offers and Sales?

Right now I just had some offers on sedo, but most of the people suggest to list just as BIN there.

Do you agree or is better to leave MO too? Btw I still have this option on all my landers with DAN.

In my humble opinion, advertising your domains on the bottom of your shoe is a better option than sedo.

Sedo is a strange beast.
Just a few months into domaining when I had my first few sales, I had 3 sales on sedo within 15-20 days.
And that too for like 6000, 4000 and 1200 in USD
My next sale came after like 6 months.

But I would say the additional exposure is worth the extra effort. So I would chose a registrar with both AFternic FT and Sedo.

Afternic FT give me a lot higher sales % than other network including Afternin SLow Transfer (non FT)

Dynadot is FT.

I get 50% of my sales via FT. The rest from Sedo, Afternic Slow transfer, DAN and Squadhelp

Yes, I would switch to Dynadot, but only at renewal time, no need to pay transfer fees before a 1-year contract expires.

No, you won't.

Yes, I agree with that. MO is good for absolutely top quality names (when your intention is to get some solid XX XXX at least). For the rest it's good to set the price so people see it right away without guessing how many fat thousands this ''psycho'' wants for his name...

Thank you! So do you think I would probably still get the offer I've got from Sedo through Dan's landers if I didn't have the make offer option activated on Sedo?

I think you are mixing up things here. DAN is DAN and Sedo is Sedo - these are two completely different marketplaces, they have nothing to do with each other. Now, you have a landing page with DAN - fine, whoever types in your name will come to your page and maybe buy it. Sedo has nothing to do with it.
But Sedo has their own marketplace with supposedly many thousand people who shop there. Your domain name will be listed there as one of many. If someone likes it - he buys it (and in this case already DAN or your landing page will have nothing to do with it). And you can make it listed as BIN or MakeOffer - however you like.

Yes I understand that.

I was asking if I have my landers on DAN with both BIN+MO, it's better to keep only BIN at Sedo? Right now I had BIN + MO also at Sedo and I've got an offer though it. I'm asking if and why is better to keep only BIN at Sedo?

I honestly don't think if there is gonna be any difference between placing BIN (well, reasonable price) or MO at Sedo. But just play with it, you can do 50-50 between similar names and see what converts better. In any case I would have both BIN+MO on DAN.

Cool, yeah i guess I'll do 50/50. Good advice thank you!

Sedo is a strange beast indeed. I see so many top names selling there (shown on dnjournal), but I have sold only one in the last ten years there (out of hundreds listed). However, I sell tons on Afternic (same prices on both) and landers going to neither, as well as on Squadhelp and others.

I would say - with all things being equal, I sell over one hundred names at Afternic for every one at Sedo.

Hi
that's nice!

for me, it would be... for every 5 names i sell at sedo, i might get 1 sale on afternic.
and i only sell a few names per year :)

had one FT sale on afternic and got one MLS sale on sedo via namecheap

imo...

Sedo has outdione itself this year.

I have sold several names this year on Sedo.

This year, I sold 15 names on an average per month and I get 1 or 2 sedo sales very month.

This month has been slow, but I am hopeful 😅

Interesting. Are you using sedo landers? They are horrifically ugly, but if they convert, I would try them.

And which one performs better?

Listing at sedo MLS, the names appear at about 900 registrars with your price (plus 10-15%) as BIN, including registrars like dynadot, ionos, namecheap, name.com etc so exposure is actually huge.
Also at sedo MLS is for many cctlds as .me, at afternic fast transfer seem only gtld.
Do not know exactly the exposure Afternic DLS offers, i assume is big also, maybe someone has better data for it
