Hi, I recently started buying domains on GoDaddy auctions.

I bought 2/3 domains on auction and the other 2 on closeouts.

I made the payment but now I don't see any of these in my account's domains list.

1) Do you know why I don't find them? Does it take some time to get them in my account after the purchase?

2) I'm writing because I can find only a number to call and they don't work till Monday.
Is there any other way to reach their support?

3) I noticed an outrageous forced renewal fee of 24$ for each domain. Is there any way to avoid this robbery?

thanks!

P

Thank you @Future Sensors !
They will be ready in a few days.

Do you know something also about this?

You're welcome.

For what extension? .com?

If it's purely a .com renewal fee for 1 year, that's a lot of money indeed.
Yes that's what is written. It's crazy. Did you ever buy a .com on auction from GoDaddy?

I'm trying to understand where $24 comes from. Are you paying USD? GoDaddy's standard fee for .com is $19.99 currently.

As suggested, you might consider DDC ("club") membership depending on how many names you keep with them. I think you'd want at least 40 names there to barely make it worthwhile.

If you've already paid, unfortunately you're stuck with the $24/per fee. Does that include any taxes/VAT?

Mind boggling.

Afterthought... and a warning to all registering NEW domains with GoDaddy. They WILL automatically tack on a "free" membership to their website builder package that will become AT COST after that trial period, billed monthly (I think) automatically, and this is set to AUTO renew following the "free" trial period.

This is new to me, but may have been in place for some time (does anyone know?).
