Hi to all,

I opt-in for SedoMLS and I just figured it out that SAV.com is listing some of my domain names at a different price than my fixed BIN price at Sedo. Here's some examples :

I know that sometimes they put higher prices and they keep extra money but what about this practice? They will give the rebate to the buyer on their own (really!?) and i'll have the amount i'm suppose to have from the original price? O_o

Plus, two of my domains in the SedoMLS program who are actually registered with SAV (cy-ber.com & resortcities.com) have the mention : transfer in needed - domain arrives in 10-15 days. How come? It's not suppose to be easier...

Pretty weird.

1) How much the initial prices were for your listings? Was this a MLS price that was much higher than your initial offer?
2) Did you check to see if you can get any portion of the additional markup? My understanding in general is that the markups can be done by the marketplaces, but this does not change the amount that you get. In other words, if they are successful, you still only get the original sale amount you requested, minus the commission.

The challenge with this setup is the potential that a sale that could have happened at your asking price, doesn't happen because a MLS partner was asking for more. On the other hand, the markup is understandable, because a Sedo MLS partner, according to their website, appears to only get 15% of the total commission. Their direct markup becomes the real income, no doubt.... as long as it creates a sale at that higher price.
