I think overall with sales she posts her roi aftr renewals end of year is still very good... I'm gonna take wild guess and say 200k minimum net profit per year... just guess.

but like I said.. it's a one person show.. which is why u see only her posting regular 4 and 5fig sale.. others just get lucky once in blue moon..with exactly zero regularity...

personally I do not see because of her monopoly that anyone else will be making good xyz big profits..

and I do not see 2word xyz.becoming ever a thing.. as in.. regular 4fig or 5fig salss like she does

this is imo why I keep telling all not to rely on her sales or follow her idea.. because u will never have these results. look elsewhere
..there are plenty of opportunities.. niches etc in domaining

cheers

Honestly, I don't agree that it's a one-man show (or, rather, one-woman) and ''nothing to see here'' - not at all. Same could have been said above dot com. (too late, the train is gone etc).

The xyz sold not only one-words (although true that they are dominant so far), the 2-words are taken off, look at NameBio this year (and all are $XXXX, not $XXX): FutureProof, LeaderBoard, SeedFund, ClubHouse, WorkSpaces etc. And it accelerates. Also, many brand words - Kenji, Vesper...
Obviously you have to be very careful, picking words, they should be popular, with tens of extensions taken and thousands of searches...It has to be something popular (or cool brandable). The very average 2-word dot com that trades in $1500 now, - will never sell in xyz this year, that's for sure. Also, more than 1-word for the end user it's a niche game so far: meta, crypto, startups, NFT, tech..

Generally I believe there is still plenty of room on this train (but ''cold-bloded'' analysis should apply)).

It's all about money laundering.
Not about domain sale..
And about FREE PR.

When you paid crazy money for stupid domain, while same names available in good zones for $5/year, you getting free media coverage.

it's all what they need.

Also, i think buyer and seller, same person. ( or company )

so they just lost 10%, and get free press coverage.

nice trick

They sponsor money to float a company with that name and they pay their employees salaries and expenses. All this for a single .xyz domain. Oh, So they have to float around thousand's of companies for all those sales.
In a single day in NP, You just find all the truth. My eyes are opened.

Wow!
Just Wow!

In that case, google is your friend. Very simple. Just type into the search box

site:'.xyz'

and click go.
Come back here and report what you see. You can take the screenshot, if you like.

All you post is total BS. You joined forum on Friday and started spreading lies immediately.
Envy is very toxic poison. Nice try, but you are busted!!

Not sure about the money laundering, but obviously the PR is an important driving force behind this particular engine. Nothing wrong with that though imho.

Do you think Google & Twitter CEOs are influenced by the PR activities & accordingly decided their parent companies domains ABC.xyz, Block.xyz, Spiral.xyz.

Do you still think a venture capital company of US$ 2.5 Billion doesn't have sufficient fund to acquire .com or .io or .co and therefore compromised with xyz extension and settled with Paradigm.xyz ?

I am really surprised even experienced domainers are not able to find the meaning of xyz and why it is on demand. Nothing is permanent on this world, change is inevitable better to acknowledge & adopt it. Thanks

Because .xyz ends in alphabet it makes sense and it’s cool, .com looks old school.

I said there was nothing wrong with it...?

No I don't find "meaning" in XYZ, but I recognise that people think it's trendy and some companies want to use them, that's also a good thing for the extension.

Let me help you :)

XYZ means Decentralize!
XYZ also means 3D (i.e. x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis). I believe Swetha also agrees as her avatar is now the 3 axes.

Interesting to see if metaverse (i.e. a 3D virtual world) will create more demands for .xyz extension.

Just two bitcoins ($100k for future readers) could register 3d.xyz for the next decade, in tiny $10k yearly installments, and nobody is interested. (Though maybe they will be after this post. :xf.wink:)

How much would 3d.com be worth? $1 million? $10 million?

There isn't a single person on the planet who would rather have a name in .xyz over the same name in .com, and we all know it.

Edit: why don't typed smileys work?

I would prefer abc.xyz over abc.com and I prefer abbccc.xyz over abbccc.com and I am a person from this planet.

I rather want .xyz over .com and new generation will think the same.

@Xiberia What exactly is your question to me?

0
•••
To both of you, why?
because people will find out .xyz can be understood as 3D axes which refer to metaverse and the NFT trend brings the new era for artists and as artists they like bold .xyz

So if 3d.com and 3d.xyz were both available to register at the same price, and you could only register one of them, you would register 3d.xyz and allow someone else to register 3d.com?

I would have both and redirect 3d.com to 3d.xyz

The avoidance of the question just answers the question.

That’s a big “if” and what I predicted is about future user’s thoughts, and if both are selling for the same price that means they have gained same reputation, in that case then yes I will choose .xyz over .com
