DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

@DAN.COM

now that you have implemented most of my suggestions lately

why don't you fix that annoying issue
of showing the Netherlands VAT amount in the German help text

we have 19% VAT aka MwSt in Germany
not 21% as in The Netherlands

I would like to know
how many of us would like to cover the 1% or 2% ourselves,
but don't like our buyers seeing the difference ?

It seems that the difference only appears for BIN pay,
not for installment pay,
so this is just for saving cost for Dan?

If I would like to pay 11% commision for BIN sale,
Dan should not charge my buyers 2% or 1% fee anymore?
I would consider it. I don't like charging the buyer an extra 2% at the exact moment they are ready to pay. I feel that some buyers might hesitate to pull the trigger.

ns1.dan.com hands out 52.58.78.16
ns1.undeveloped.com hands out 52.58.78.16

@DAN.COM

The new address you're using for DAN landers is 3.64.163.50.

Is the previous address 52.58.78.16 no longer preferred for landers via A-record from now on?

Thank you.

I'm looking for something on Dan.com that I can't find. If it exists I'm sure someone here can tell me, and if not, I'd suggest Dan.com look at adding it.

Is there a public facing instalment calculator? In other words, can a non-logged in user, or a prospective buyer, go to Dan.com and see what payments could be for a price or timescale they input?

When a domain is listed at fixed price, anyone visiting the page can use the slider to see what the monthly payments would be for timescales of their choice. But not if a fixed price is not shown, afaik. What if a prospective buyer knows their monthly budget and wants to know what price they should offer to match that budget?

This isn't hypothetical - did sell a domain on instalments to someone who made an offer, since I told them in messaging that they could pay monthly, and they doubled their offer. If you close a deal that way, Dan will change the domain over to payment in instalments when you ask them to. I just want they buyer to be able to do the calculations themself before making an offer.
Good morning @carob,

Thank you for raising this question.

We do not offer it on the platform as we only show it for landing pages with a BIN where the owner is willing to accept LTO's or installments already. If this is not offered we do not know if the owner is willing to extend installment payments on his domain. However, I will make sure to relay your request to our product team for review.

Have a great week ahead.

Good morning @Future Sensors,

This is not required. The current A-record used for parking can still be used and can be left unchanged.

Have a great week.

Since we've introduced our new checkout (in July) till September our sales volume has more than doubled and our checkout is seeing better conversion.

Please be wary of rehashing non-validated assumptions aired by some and even some competitors of ours in their marketing.

We've said this before, we would never impact our seller's conversion ratio for sales as that's our core business. To make sure we have the best performing customer journey for buyers to make sure we operate the most liquid domain marketplace. This was our goal 9 years ago when we started and that's why we're now the #2 biggest domain marketplace after Godaddy in terms of # of transactions and total sales volume.

Why doesn't Dan.com provide a credit note for a refund when a purchase goes wrong?

Three weeks ago I bought a domain for $2k (paid via International wire, for which I even got charged 10 EUR by my bank). The seller became unreachable and the support team gave me the option to get a refund, which I accepted. Now, while you should have prevented this issue in the first place, I can understand these things can happen. What got me mad was when I asked for a credit note and I was replied that Dan.com doesn't provide them. So far, I have received credit notes from all major marketplaces, with many of them (including GoDaddy and Epik) providing them without the need of a request. I need a credit note for fiscal purposes, since it's the only way I can prove the wire I received from you is just a refund and not the payment for a sale.

As a first time buyer on your platform, certainly I can't describe my experience as positive.

Using fake domains here for illustration.

I just discovered my domain(s) sometimes not only do not come up as the first option (when doing a search) when they should since they are an exact match, sometimes they do not show up at all.

My made up domain is GreenChickenBone.com and I did a search for it. A domain name GreenChickenBoneAndSkin.com comes up and mine, although an exact match, does not even show. Is this a standard deviation others have noticed?

You give the possibility to a buyer to optout, that delete the lead.
Could you please add the possibility to a seller to delete a lead ?

Yes, I use another browser and begin the search at the Dan main page.
Good morning @Mister Funsky,

When performing a direct search of GreenChickenBone.com, GreenChickenBone.com should come up first as an exact match when no other filters are applied. If the name was added recently it might take some time to reflect in our search which could be the reason why it does not show in the results instantly.

If you send me a private message with the exact domain you are referring to I will make sure to look into it for you.

Have a great day.

I don't know if it has been asked before, but where is bulk update CSV for:

1- Installment enable/disable
2- Setting number of months
3- Enable/Disable offers
4- Currency

DAN should have provided it as the time of 2.0 update.

You always reply that, but even for a very simple change, nothing is done...

Feedback always reaches our product team and then we prioritize feedback based on impact. Dev resources are scarce at all tech companies. Building a great product is not building every feedback received on a forum directly after receiving it :).

Even when you say that something will be done, it s not. Have a look here : https://www.namepros.com/posts/7545700/
You told in December 2019 that a balance system will be done in 2020 !!! We are near 2022 and it's not.

But when you decided to change min. offer to 99€ minimum you told nothing to noone before doing it, no email, no week or month before changing that. great management...
I lost around 3-4K because of this management.
