The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Its not always "will" as some posters demand that. How about a rule to disallow such demands?
It's usually best to not participate in threads where you disagree with how they're being run or presented. That's a good way for the community to teach others the level of professional etiquette that is expected on NamePros.

Buyer request threads are not for "participation" by design, that is not the issue here.

There are requests which are precisely formulated which implies responsible attitude and respect towards other members of the community, not wasting anyone's time.
There are requests which are very broad, vague or general.

People who post first type of requests end up being punished for doing that since they are getting less exposure than second type of requests which are getting regularly "bumped". Add this requirement by the request poster to post "sent" in the thread (which essentially exploits a certain part of NP demographics who are just desperate to liquidate something and are going to respond to every single general request) and this disparity is being taken even further.

Good, quality requests get drowned and bad stay on top thanks to all these "sent" demanded by the poster.

Participation in this sense would be sending domain(s) to the buyer. If buyers create threads that don't receive any domain(s), then they'll (hopefully) learn that their requests need to be improved in order to receive community participation.

But, you bring up a good point that makes that difficult in the request section:

Thanks for bringing this up.

We've moved this to a suggestion thread for more feedback and consideration.

I am trying to find marketplace rules. Cant find them. I though posting up or bump or pm sent was not permitted in marketplace listings? There is one member that bumps every 20 minutes then closes thread and starts another, only to do same thing. They paid for that right. The rules used to be at top of each section before, too

It's currently allowed, but it will not bump the thread if they post too soon.

The system automatically prevents invalid posts from bumping the thread, but it doesn't stop the posts from being posted, so sellers may clutter up their listings with pointless posts if they're not careful.

We're working on a new feature to prevent the clutter.

I am trying to find marketplace rules . . . The rules used to be at top of each section before, too
They're in a single thread, now:

We hope that helps.
