Good morning, afternoon, or good night all!

My name is Michael Stables I work as a software engineer full time and am interested in domaining.
I am writing this today to reach out to the community and seek a mentor in the domaining business.

I am willing to work a deal paying someone to teach me how to flip domains.

I have bought a small portfolio of domains:

dietmelt.com
cheapticketsorlando.com
classiccarnewyork.com
thecoinbasement.com

I am just not sure how to go about selling them. I have tried a flippa auction and currently have them parked on Sedo.

If anyone has any advice on getting started or would be interested in taking me on by being my mentor I would greatly appreciate it.

I am willing to pay a percentage of my profits to you once I get started (will be happy to talk about payment) .

Would prefer someone who is able and willing to show proof of income and share the steps they took to get started.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

cheapticketsorlando.com is more of a liability imo.

Welcome to the forum.

I will give you some free advice. It might seem harsh, but it is better to know now than later.
The first step is to determine what a quality domain is. These are not resale quality domains.

You need to be offering domains for sale that are significantly higher quality than something which can be hand registered.

It is not easy to enter the domain game now and make money. It really comes down to the quality of domains you own. The sales aspect is irrelevant if you don't have domains that are going to have demand.

dietmelt.com

What does it mean? Resale quality are ones like DietGuide.com, FastDiet.com, QuickDiet.com, etc.

cheapticketsorlando.com

Too specific. Too many comparable options out there.

classiccarnewyork.com

Geo domains are better with the city at the front. NewYorkCars.com, NYCars.com, NewYorkUsedCars.com, etc. are resale quality.

thecoinbasement.com

"The" domains can work, but more like "The" Something. I have sold domains like "TheBreakroom" in .COM. CoinBasement.com is a quality brand, but adding "The" in front is a major liability.

I hope this helps.

Agree, Brad.

If a "diet melt" is anything like a cheese melt, I'd say the two terms are mutually exclusive.

Welcome to Namepros.

Don't buy anything else. Instead, spend the next 3 months combing this forum. Everything you think you can find in a mentor can be found on this forum and much more
