Making a living from domain parking

Hi everyone, this is my first post here on namepros even though I've been following this forum for over two years now.
I have some domains parked and I've been making some money with them, especially those with high epc/cpc (because 1 click or 2 in a domain of 30$ is better than 20 clicks in a domain with a cpc of 1$ – depends on the traffic too, niches, etc.)
My question here is the following [and to give me a little motivation too], does anyone here make a living exclusively from domain parking or could you live if you wanted to?
If you could complement that with some screenshots I would appreciate that ; What I'm asking is for high clicks, monthly revenue, etc.
Sorry for any mistake, I'm Portuguese (but raised in Andorra from 2 to 12 years old)
Thank you all for your generosity and transparency

HeHe... a living from parking, not in my neck of the woods. :xf.eek:

I guess it would be possible in one of the poorer countries of the world where a hundred bucks is a lot of money :xf.cool:

Type of names you could make a living off (if you have enough of them). Make sure you are not breaking any laws.

1. Typos: If your domain is a typo of a very popular domain, you could earn very good parking revenue if the ads are related. Most people think they have a typo name but they don't. Typos are not what you want them to be. I would elaborate but prefer not to waste my time, you will learn from getting screwed, not from reading my honest advice.

2. Dot com domain of a popular other extension website. If idiot.xyz gets a lot of traffic and you own idiot.com you could make good money as long as the parking ads are related.

3. Domains with traffic from old links etc.

What will not make you money (not much) regardless what anybody tells you:

1. EMD domain that does not have any of the above 3 qualities. Even if your domain is Shoes.com TYPIN keyword traffic is dead. It used to be a thing, now its dead (small money).

2. Fake / bad / low quality traffic. Parking companies are not idiots and will not risk their feeds because you think that someone selling "human" adsense safe clicks on a marketplace is legit because of their reviews. Everyone complaining their parking account got banned had it coming.

Should you park names you want to sell? Yes. It doesn't matter. Serious buyers will buy the name even if it goes to a 404, they will find you. In fact, your landing page could have a photo of a horse taking a dump on a photo of the buyers wife and it still would not matter for a serious buyer, might even motivate them.
A lot of good info. here
Thank you

That's relative
You are assuming that few dollars are enough in a country where salaries are lower (which is true [and more easy to make a living]), but there are people who make thousands of dollars with parking (I suppose) in the United States or Canada

And it must not be the only one...
And you Jurgen, could you live on parking revenue if you wanted to?

I had to bump my own post to not create a new one, sorry
I was in my house drinking some beers and thinking...
People usually say that from 2001 to 2007 was the great period of parking and that now it's worse
My question is (and now that I'm making money I'm afraid of losing it 😅)
Obviously that no one here is a wizard and foresees the future, whether from google changes or parking companies that reduce payments, etc. etc.
Will this model as we know it change one day (for [even] worse)?

Like develop them for example?

Developing is the ideal way. However, to properly develop a large number of domains is not reasonable due to the scope. You do want to develop a few money sites according to your circumstances and resources. Other option is to create a portfolio site that can be monetized along with sales landers. This is over simplifying it but the point is that you have many options. You cannot make a living from parking alone, not even close, unless you have sufficient type-in traffic and that is virtually impossible unless you have premium domains. If your domains are registered recently then it makes the exercise impossible and you will be disappointed.

Parking will have to make dramatic and sui generis changes. Web surfers are conditioned to recognize currently employed parking pages and will ignore them. It is hard to envision parked domain pages full of ads to change for the better with the current model and basically recognizable presentation.

I don't have the time to go through that thread. But you have to ask about the volume of domains to arrive at that profit. What is defined as profit? Is the difference from renewal costs included in calculating profit?
Ask OP.

For me only traffic matters, not the domain volume.
Even 10 really traffic domains are enough to live.

Very good insights here
Thank you for your time

I agree with you

How much do you make per month (approximately)?

Imagine how much money Gail could make from Gail.com.

But she doesn't want to.

It's not that easy because people still have to click in some ad on the parking page and that domain (gail .com) could have a low cpc too

About 10 bucks a day. Like I said, people do not understand parking.

Parking isn't development.

1 .PRO domain with French type-in traffic makes me up to $1XX monthly on ParkingCrew...
+ some parking revenue with several other domains.
Nowadays most my domains are on Sales landers (no ads).

In my best parking times I had $3XX/mo. generated by a few domains.

Right now I have 16 domains
Then guys like you tell me this, I find that strange
And I invest 600$ total

Share the domain that makes you most of the revenue, lets see.

I wish we could get the same guy to post an update on his earnings 2016 was still a good year. I use to check the above dot com marketplace. You can see how much domains are earnings since they post the revenue public. I can still remember some domains before making hundreds of dollars now making just a few cents.

If I buy rainbow dot com it would take me 111 years to pay of the 4mil price tag

Revenue on my domain with mentioned French type-in traffic is growing from year to year...
Now it is 3-4 times higher than a few years ago.

He probably isn't active in the game anymore or the revenue he was making decrease significantly
I just can't understand why is this happening, why parking is getting worse?
Less type-in traffic, cpc's getting lower, google interference, people becoming aware of parked pages, less number of ad publishers, dp companies increasing their % cut, etc. etc.

Adblockers are very popular nowadays.
I guess, this reason is primary.

Try ZeroClick method if bad results with Google feed.
