Hey all figured with the recent .io 6 figure sale and the nice .xyz sale by a follow NP member. We should open a showcase and discussion thread here.

Metaverse is a fast growing keyword, term and niche! Let's share and discuss our name and news.

I've only got One to start with but its a GOOD one my favorite ending keyword on most names.

MetaverseHub.com

Welcome! :)

In My opinion, Investors should invest in Metaverse & Meta keywords instead of MV for now which is not popular and not sure when businesses (as a whole) consider "MV" as Metaverse whicj may take atleast min of 5 to 10 years.

For Few end users/companies who are not able to get their Premium Metaverse/Meta domains in their niche may try to go for registering (not to buy for huge sums of money) MV+keyword lets say Mv+games (if they feel/brand mv as metaverse) until they get their Meta+keyword (or) Metaverse+Keyword imo.

So For "MV" is not popular yet among businesses so better to avoid for investment now.

To simplify.

XR = ( Extended Reality )

Ex- tend-ed -re-al-i-ty ( 7 syllables LONG ) avg joe as spelling issue , so YES XR fits works great and was adopted!

MV= (Metaverse "not massly adopted yet, so anyone walking down a street seeing MVlab..they will say "MV lab what? what is MV needs to catch one still.

Met-a- verse ( 3 syllables )

HECK of a difference an not near as long or as bad you all make it seem

again NEVER said MV isn't a play, I'm saying IMO it more likely won't play out the way XR,VR,AR has..

imho

good luck regardless what you have. this is the METAVERSE thread after all

I generally respect peoples perspectives and want everyone to do well and but the mental gymnastics displayed from some 'ahead of the curve' domainers trying to convince everyone else is just misleading.

I prefer to base Domain value on verifiable market data and actual growth rather than pure speculation.

Anything else is just Fishsticks.

That being said I wish you gl.

Amazes me how clueless you are with regards to domain names.

Who am I to pump domains and tech niches to end users.

Do you guys listen to yourselves?

There was a lot of hoopla about Lucid's Casino VR dot com and dot co.uk being worth 7 figures back in the VR thread 4 - 5 years ago. Lucid Domains ended up DROPPING the co.uk which he trademarked in the UK. It was picked up and (drum roll), it's expired and could drop AGAIN! 🙄 Something unheard of for a 7 figure domain.

He also lowered his 7 figure expectations for the dot com which is on Dan for a mere and perhaps still unrealistic $20,000, something you would have never imagined by the way he boosted about how valuable his donains were 5 years ago. He was turning down 6 figure offers and now would be happy to even $20k. He may not be in the "red line" but he's been corrected... He and everyone else who was talking about how valuable his names are in the VR thread. You can go back and find the convos. They're still there!

People are corrected by reality. Watch the hype in Metaverse...watch the hype in all the niche threads.

I can only speak for myself, but I don’t regret my purchase of VR+Video dot com. I don’t think the owners of VRGames/VRP*rn/VRCasino and VRS*x are looking to sell cheap either as in my opinion these 5 are the strongest VR+keyword domains.

As Elad said the ones you mentioned are the reverse and more of a brand, it’s like TVUSA wouldn’t be all that valuable, but USATV would.

not all vr reverses are brands.. starvr may be

but casinovr is just as fine for an actual vr casino etc..

just less valuable than vrcasino

Who said anything about end users! 🤣

Even noob Domainers aren’t going to touch your 13 to 18 character three word domains with a barge pole, regardless of how cool you think the keywords are.

You’re delusional mate.

Should of taken that offer while it was on the table.

Yeah, that’s common for people who have cognitive dissonance.

Yeah, that’s common for people who have cognitive dissonance.

Doesn't matter why. You make me laugh 😂, extra points for that!

Good luck with globalstablecoins and getting 7 figures for it!

Yup! I said the domain was backwards right? I own some my self because they can sell for a decent price, but it's hard for me to value them at 7 figures or even 6 figure, realistically speaking.

The domains you mentioned are spot on keyword domains that are obviously more valuable to the general public. It's funny how the owner of VRCasino dot co.uk just showcased the domain and that was his first and last post on NP, without all the hyping and pumping.

But I doubt the owners of those VR + Keyword donains are expecting 7 figures. I'm betting that most would be fine with mid to high 5 figures. Especially with all the other terms competing against VR now, like Metaverse and the increasingly popular XR. When the VR thread started it was soon after FB acquired Oculus and then there were no other seriously competing terms at the time, so people had an even more inflated sense of valua of VR domains.

But yeah just saying, I'm seeing some similarity in the hype here as what we were seeing in the VR thread and there's been a lot of correction there since The Great VR Drop. It could happen again here for those of you with short memories. Expectations for this keyword could be overblown. It's not even an exact definition of a particular technology, *possibly* making it unattractive for businesses that would like more focus in their domain. Lots of things to think about before singing the Metaverse gospel lol...Just trying to sober things up around here 😅
