Having relatives and friends scattered all over the globe, I am getting an overload of input (some on the record and some off the record).

My intention for this thread is for community members from around the world to post first hand stories and/or links to information sources that, for the most part, should be reliable.

In my community, just outside a major southeastern city, 'assets' have been placed. Only because I have friends in both high and low places have I heard about some of this. At this point it is only some basic medical supplies that should be equally distributed anyway in preparation for a natural emergency (hurricane/wildfire/etc.).

I will start with posting a link to a site with current data that seems to come from an aggregate of sources and hope others will do the same as they come across similar sites/pages.

Because of the 'typhoid Mary' spread-ability of this disease, I feel we may be in for a really large spread globally which will impact the global economy and through extension, retail domain prices.

The #19 means the disease Covid-19 was first encountered in 2019.

Covid-19 is NOT a virus.

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Coronavirus IS NOT a rhinovirus. It is an RNA virus.

"Phil Valentine had chosen not to get the vaccine as he assumed the chances of him dying from the disease were “way less than one percent”, according to a blog post he published in December 2020.

Another advantage to masks like this is they've ASTM approval, and if you've had training on how to properly put on and take off masks, you might not have to shut down a workplace over covid exposure. One of the people I gave some masks to was someone who manages commercial construction work crews. That could've been some of his interest in wanting to get more.

At this point I think it will happen...it could happen just before labor day as cases increase. A shutdown will certainly happen if there is a large case increase after the labor day weekend due to excessive travel.

Good point. Sherwin Williams carries a comfortable mask that is 95 rated that I use when necessary. The only issue is the valve for the exhale does not block anything the wearer might be exhaling. Some places excluded this type of mask...it might be a good idea to have a couple of these on hand anyway (they are sold 2 to a pack).

Pfizer raises vaccine sales forecast to $33.5 bln

Pfizer seems to have struck gold with its double-dose COVID-19 shot. The drug maker on Wednesday raised its sales forecast for the vaccine this year by nearly a third to $33.5 billion.

The company said it has signed deals for 2.1 billion doses of the vaccine it jointly developed with Germany’s BioNTech, and that could rise further if it signs more contracts. The pair expect to produce 3 billion doses this year.

Don't think valved type would be an acceptable mask in most workplaces. I see Very few 95 valved masks being worn by shoppers, fewer now than before - people got more educated(?) it is a disease caused by a virus .. or several different strains of covid viruses at this point … the derivative of covid is the rhino virus and the other covid viruses combined with SARS - 2 ..

So basically … they took a simple standard covid virus .. combined it with a SARS -2 and made Covid - 19 … For the two to be combined in the wild and coexist together and further mend together to become a disease is almost impossible .. the white blood cells combat to not allow the two to be able to form one… to combine any virus with a disease is most likely done genetically .. so this disease complexity would have to be combined and grown to make hybrid form cell.

red blood cell platelets have never in time combined to create any virus in combination with a disease …

Fathom multiple sclerosis and the N1H1 influenza virus combining and making a separate new disease with their derivatives combined .. it has never happened since the beginning of time … science shows why it has never happened as well …although possible .. because ANYTHING is possible ..

So common sense should set in .. it is a laboratory made virus … and it took years to make because the covid virus and SARS will not coexist at the same time in the human body .

Just today I spoke with two people that thought they had a summer cold (did not suspect covid) but after they were unable to 'shake' it, went and got tested...it is covid so now they are quarantined. Mask mandates are coming again (Columbia variant in Florida seem to be spreading quickly).
