For end user or for reseller?

I am thinking neater.com is similar to thrifty.com the car rental company, generic word but memorable and positive vibe. Although not business specific.

Well, your idea is easy to check. Basically, you want to go brandable - offer it to SquadHelp and NameBucket and let's see what they say.
By the way, ''thrifty'' is an absolutely awful name (no matter how much money this car rental has). It's badly pronounceable for non-English speakers, it's the name you say once and then you don't want to repeat again.

Very rarely do I disagree with @VadimK Iberica ...but I'm going to do it here

Neater, in my opinion ...is decent. If it happened to be "neat", 5 figure territory. Even for neater, I do see you getting thousands (with the right buyer). The dot com and net as a package would be good, hope you get something worthwhile

The others, I struggle ...neater is your baby

PS Welcome to the community

Fair enough! I suggest @nhldomainowner to PM us when sold, and for how much, if he doesn't mind.

For Neater.com/net/ +GetNeater.com as a package I would be asking mid $xx,xxx imho maybe more depending on the need. It's a nice brand for a few highly competitive niches. I could see it being used in software or for consumer goods.

Retail ask $75k and sell above $40k. It may take some years to find the right buyer but for this package it's worth the wait.

At the rate things are going, $75K - $100K+...if not now, give it 5-10 years. GL

May want to remove domains from thread when done, google indexed.

@bmugford @Future Sensors What do you reckon about neater?

The domain Neater.com is short, catchy, nice. But just like you @jhm, I have some mixed feelings about the -er addition for this particular dictionary term. For internationally better known terms like Great, Greater, Greatest and Strong, Stronger, Strongest, it would be easier for me. For Neater, would an upgrade Neatest even exist? I'm on mobile, and probably it does... But I think it's not that common.

All of these names, including Neater, refer to an upgrade, something better, maybe superior. Which is positive. It certainly has the right sound, vibe, and emotion.

If you don't focus on the exact dictionary meaning too much, which I would advise, I do think it's a good brandable domain for a lot of verticals other than the obvious markets like fashion, dieting, and wellness. I can even imagine seeing this name as an upgrade for a dull consultancy firm. But you have to spend on marketing as well with this term. I think the name will stick and can help the right company to transform to a fresh(er) identity.

Neater.com is a pretty good potential brand. It is highly memorable IMO.

I think it would be good for anything in the organization field really, like closets, storage, etc.

Personally I think the comparative "neater" is slightly better than "neat", think "Acme, the neater xyz provider" might sound better than "Acme, the neat xyz provider".

The former is positive but less absolutist than the latter for a term that is as subjective and non-measurable as neatness.
