Having relatives and friends scattered all over the globe, I am getting an overload of input (some on the record and some off the record).

My intention for this thread is for community members from around the world to post first hand stories and/or links to information sources that, for the most part, should be reliable.

In my community, just outside a major southeastern city, 'assets' have been placed. Only because I have friends in both high and low places have I heard about some of this. At this point it is only some basic medical supplies that should be equally distributed anyway in preparation for a natural emergency (hurricane/wildfire/etc.).

I will start with posting a link to a site with current data that seems to come from an aggregate of sources and hope others will do the same as they come across similar sites/pages.

Because of the 'typhoid Mary' spread-ability of this disease, I feel we may be in for a really large spread globally which will impact the global economy and through extension, retail domain prices.

it had been over a year ago when I posted the Dr. Tyson video … I posted it in this thread .. and I believe in the political thread here as well … I will see if I can search it down tonight when I get home from work .

the importance of the video to me personally .. was very eye opening mainly because of the very serious statement that Dr. Tyson made … I found it to carry me very far through out the pandemic psychologically… as all of what has happened since the beginning of the Covid- 19 pandemic can effect individuals in all kinds of different ways as I have found … Neil Degrasse Tyson statement of Covid - 19 being an experiment has been very therapeutical to me.. .

I'm not saying he is not intelligent, but he's an astrophysicist.

the precautions are pretty much common sense …the origin of the virus would be science IMO … working within the confines of the virus as well … humans and viruses have co- existed since the beginning of time … Covid-19 shows no intentions of dying off after a year and a half .. at this point we need answers to origin and specific etiology ..science may provide us that … taking the vaccine is a personal decision for each person to make on their behalf .. as of right now the current vaccines are not the answer to preventing infection as we can see … we are sort of back square one with Delta variant now being the prevalent strain

should it turn out that reoccurring covid -19 infection is prevalent with other new strains … we may be dealing with covid 19 for quite a long time before a one vaccine fits all is developed ..in which case there could end up being many vaccinations before an actual answer is found to combat the covid 19 viruses ..

infection is high among the vaccinated .. from what I am hearing .. the vaccinated aren’t getting deathly ill with the Delta variant … a lot of people support the vaccine … a lot of people don’t support the vaccine ..

No one has ever advised me not to get the vaccine … it’s been 1000% my choice not to take the vaccine … if the vaccine had a good trial testing … I very well may have taken the vaccine already ..

I now know personally of three vaccinated individuals who contracted coronavirus within the past month. With all three I was told that symptoms were so mild that absent a confirming test might not have even known were infected with coronavirus - might have simply assumed it was a cold.

I am grateful that I and most everyone I can think of is scientifically and progressively minded enough to have gotten vaccinated.

From what I understand too - the three infected individuals were infected because they and the general public around them stopped wearing masks. All three told me that they believe they were infected during a two week period when they had temporarily stopped wearing masks.

Before I was vaccinated I was getting tested regularly. I’ve been tested a couple times since vaccination too.

Health Department guidelines suggest resuming masking up indoors again. Do it! or accept the consequences.

The main problem as I see it is backwards thinking people who refuse to be vaccinated. Many of these same individuals probably refuse to wear masks. These are the current cause of continuing infections: the unmasked unvaccinated.

All I can do is scratch my head about this one …you know you are actually wasting resources “Tests” and laboratory time to run your covid test right ???

I can’t imagine anyone not get vaccinated these days but any such person should carry around a waiver assenting to little or no public expenditures treating him if he should contract coronavirus.

I will sign it everyday … there are really two scenarios if I get covid … I will take care of myself by staying in bed .. taking Tylenol for fever .. drinking water and juice for hydration … or I will Die … a hospital can really only only help by putting a person on a ventilator.. hospitals and doctors don’t have any magic treatments for covid .. so it’s get well or die ..

I would and will sign a form saying that i won’t seek to be ventilated .. because I won’t

Hopefully these people have skills beyond what their jobs entailed to pivot out of scenarios of coerced faulty testing and being phase three trial experiments. Coercing people to accept an experimental medical intervention defies the basic Hippocratic oath all doctors know.

absolutely… the testing is noted to be faulty from the very beginning .. false positives ..

The thing that most fascinates me are people who are actually 1000% consumed and infatuated with Covid - 19 … I guess some could have hypochondria … some could have very additive personalities .. who really knows … then one has to take notice of how many people are so seriously scared to Die … the reason I bring up death is because absolutely no one gets out of this world alive … death is imminate for every living thing .. yet it is death that had driven millions of people to allow a vaccine to be put into the bodies that is hardly trial tested .. that no one knows the long term effects of .. that has proven .. yes .. it can kill a person … covid - 19 has been extremely fascinating .. not because it’s a virus .. we have plenty of viruses .. but instead because of the human reactions that take place with covid -19 … behaviors like we have never seen before from human beings that were born into an environment of deadly viruses .. deadly bacteria’s .. deadly funguses .. yet the people react and behave in a way with the covid - 19 .. yet most are very adapted to the viruses - bacteria’s .. Funguses they were born into that kill millions every year.. but covid - 19 .. a virus dirivative of the Rhino covid virus known as a cold . and the other 18 covid viruses don’t bring the fear to these covid junkies .. only the 19th variant does .. very very interesting

But we've had 1 death in the family so far from covid. An unvaccinated cousin of my wife's.

You're leaving out covid long haulers and their health problems. Your odds of ending up being one of them are said to be much higher than ending up dead.
