We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
2. Why not show the minimum make offer price permanently like before? In the old Dan when a buyer submits their make offer price and clicks the make offer button they would be shown min offer is $100, $500 dollars etc.

Thanks, and I was just going to mention this.

No one wants a "Guess the Minimum Bid" game as a front-end to their Domain Lander, and this could easily irritate prospective buyers.

First bug i found that doesn't save the page when i make changes on "For Sale Page"

I have nothing to do with " google analytic tracker "

Show attachment 195605

I do not have this issue.

You must mistakenly entered some charterers into the "field/box" within your Dan "settings" go look and make sure it's clear under settings, if you do not have google Anly enabled with your Dan account.

It was asked by many domainers to disable the indication of minimum offer.
If they did it - then thanks.

Thank you for your reply, it has worked after i voluntarily remove my email address (Tracker ID) from the Google Analytics Tracker, it was there automatically.

* One other small thing - I noticed there is now a "big white block" on the top of the Dashboard (between Dashboard and Welcome) that pushes everything down several lines, and drops important data like Traffic "below the fold", so you need to scroll.

No idea what that big white space is used for, but if you could get rid of it (like Dan 1.X) it would allow more data in the window.

Pretty well, and it seems to be the "splash a can of paint on the site" type "upgrade" and all the "feature requests" have fallen on deaf ears.

From the Dan.com site, here is essentially what changed with 2.0:

We’ve updated our logo, wordmark, typeface, colours, and imagery like illustrations. We’ve also evolved from “DAN.COM” to “Dan.com” with just a capital D.

I was really looking forward to DAN 2.0 and this is quite a downer. Where are the requested features and options?
the hard work and contributions of dozens of people...

Let's see if there will be more sales with this "hard work" !

Why?

This goes against every web design rule I've ever seen, and no other sales venue (that I have used) plays the "guess the minimum offer" game with prospective buyers. These people have MONEY and we want them to GIVE IT TO US, and you think making it a longer and more irritating process is a good thing?

Hey kids, we have a brand new game for you today! Go to Dan.com and if you're the first to discover the exact minimum offer on these 10 domains, you win a prize!

This is the inherent danger of listening to the squeaky wheel minority without polling the satisfied majority, and if implemented, this should be an option, not a hard-coded requirement.

Because.
From the long negotiation experience.

Who still wants to leak the exact minimum amount - DAN may add this option in Settings (ON/OFF).

My domains suddenly started showing suggestions of other domains in the last section which was turned off; had to change settings back to what I had in the old UI, all set now. Everyone can double-check their options are all good.

Excited about the new DAN 2.0, I thought afternic was coming first but woah, nice!

Again, the danger of listening to the vocal minority without asking the rest of us what we thought. And then hard-coding it as a required feature - at the very least it should have been an option at release.

It might be great for you, but if it ticks off more than 50% of the Dan user base, then it's a bad idea.

I am not impressed at all by Dan 2.0. I recently moved all my domains to Dan because I liked Dan 1.X and now it looks like I'll have to move them all back. More work for me this weekend.

What vocal minority?

Please realize that not everyone wants the minimum to show up. Most of the offers received are at the minimum, because it's clearly shown from the outset. Not showing it might get prospective buyers to submit a price that is closer to their max.

I do agree that this should be an option, so that everyone can set it up as they see fit.

So what's the problem? We agree.

But it is NOT an option, it's hard-coded, hence my comments.

I'm ticked that Dan continues to listen to a "core group of domainers" while totally ignoring the masses who were quite satisfied with Dan 1.0 and simply wanted "more features".

Totally switching gears from Dan 1.X to a hard-coded "hidden reserve auction" format for all domain listings is clearly a product of insular thinking. There is no other explanation.

if u didnt know...they have nice..fast...efficient..payment system at competitive 5% rate..so u can do like me and many and use them to checkout your leads.. given the lack of traffic to their market..and average landers... many do not really see dan as anything other than addlead/checkout option. which works well

Invisible minimum was asked by domainers in DAN threads since 2019 or so...
No any news here.

So what were the request numbers as it compares to the entire Dan user base?

They must have been HUGE (like in the tens of thousands) for Dan to not only implement the "hidden reserve price" feature, and also totally disable any way of changing it back.

I personally like the redesign but I'm disappointed that's all it is. The last version was also pretty great design-wise.

I expected functionality upgrades but I haven't seen any thus far.

You still can't offer/set up an installment plan via the negotiation window, still no down-payment option.

When making a test offer, I noticed buyers now have to insert a "verification token" instead of just clicking on the link to confirm their offer. I don't think that was necessary. I would've also liked to see a tab on the dashboard that includes unconfirmed offers, it's data that could add value and would cost Dan nothing to share them.

In the dan blog I see that buyers now get charged extra for paypal/credit cards, is this right @DAN.COM? Or just a test?

In addition to the ones mentioned, there is a bug with the links on domain landing pages.
upload_2021-7-15_18-0-31.png

"See seller profile" and "See more domains" buttons redirect to the wrong link.
Ex. https://web.amsterdam/domain-seller/dotamsterdam-bv

It is not mandatory to consider the entire user base.
Just sociology is enough.

Love the new design. Awesome work @DAN.COM !

But i got a small thing:

Traffic stats are allways visible at the landingpage - even if you set it off.
And when they are on it looks a bit unclean (at android smartphone).

Looks like rollout with bugs and without phase for Beta testers...

It is not mandatory to consider the entire user base.

That's the definition of insular thinking - only accepting viewpoints from a very narrow section of the user base, and then forcing those changes on everyone.

This happens all the time, where the "squeaky wheels" get all the attention, while the vast majority of satisfied users are totally ignored and never polled on significant 360-degree changes.

yea and meanwhile nothing really changed for functionality...any of requests we made..there were tens posted here..no credit system..like danbucks..

and u cant even sort our public folio by the most common logical way..ie by name...instead there are 5 other useless sort ways.

I dont know what kind of growth dan experiences as company.. but I'll stick to using add lead only. everything else seems very avg to me.

@DAN.COM

I've noticed my Traffic Stats are still showing on all my names over and under 100+views & even when I check "show nothing". I can't seem to get it to workout.

Exactly, myself and many others were anticipating "Dan 1.X + lots of new features". Where are the brand new features and options that would be expected in a very-significant 2.0 rollout?

Personally, I would rather see a rollback to 1.X and then a true 2.0 rollout later on, based on a true user comment and recommendation period.
