Hello,

How you see this hand reg name: DoNotBook.com
Some said it just a reg fee and some said can’t even put a number to evaluate it ...

I’m getting myself ready to renew it for 10 years a head and see what it can fitch also seriously thinking to develop it as a general reference of “Do Not do it” advices platform which will cover all aspects of life or maybe just A Do Not Book advice platform for a bad travel, booking and tours experiences sharing/ awareness.

Looking forward to hear you valuable comments
Thank you

As @bmugford pointed out above, advice has already been given in another appraisal thread for this domain.

It may well be that you're still unsure about the quality of the domain. Or about the quality of the appraisals. But posting this again will probably not provide any better insights :xf.smile:

I'd like to zoom in on the +10 years you'd like to renew this domain. That's a lot. I would personally not renew this specific domain for such a long period. Look at this every year again, with the knowledge you have gained about the domain.

Good luck selling (or developing).

Imo, this one will not work, (just like 99% of ''negative'' domains).
The problem is that you think: hmm, lots of people would like to book something and obviously, DO NOT book anything bad. It's true.
But what you really have to ask yourself - what kind of business can be generated on such a name? Me personally - I can't tell who would've benefited from such business... like what their model would be? Let's say they list bad hotels, - ok, fine. But first - it's subjective (thus lots of problems as a result), second - where is their money coming from? Will the hotel be paying them? Unlikely.. Clients? Can't see it coming either.. But these are the things you should always think about: who and why will you buy this domain? If it can't be answered - better drop it.

Thank you Vadimk but I see that you missed the other possible use of the domain as a general book 📖 (platform) of a Do Not do it advices, like don’t buy from x, don’t book on x, don’t go to x, don’t mix x and x, don’t eat x at x time, and so on.... what you think

Well, but what's the point of such a ''book''? Books, songs, companies, restaurants - to write only bad experiences or dislikes about them? Pretty soon all of them will soon be on this list because there is always somebody who doesn't like something. Very doubtful idea to say the least... You have 10 clubs in your town, soon somebody will write something bad about every one of them. Then what? Stop going there? Close them down?
On top of that - again, as in my previous post - no money can be generated from here....This idea of yours I don't feel at all, sorry...
It only makes sense to share the negative experience about scam companies, but such sites exist, and normally have ''scam'' words in them.

I’m forced to explain more ;)
Every business hates to be negatively reviewed as if they will enter the fire 🔥 so once it happened the business will rush out to claim that review as the owner of business in order defend bad, fake reviews and answer inquiries which interacted with that review, and there will be the business for me because the business owners have to pay me to get an access and be approved and claim review/posts/threads about their business and if they pay more I may think to erase the whole review (only because I believed that they were badly targeted by some one ;) ) and if businesses will cooperate all together I may sell or silent the whole website/domain for them for something called a life changing bunch ;)
What you think?

Looks like a form of blackmailing to me. This is not going to be liked by business, nor by the people doing reviews, once both parties find out you are manipulating them in order to get cash.
Such a business model won't exist for long, that's for sure. But in order to get to the point when the companies even care about bad reviews on your website, it has to become extremely popular, and I don't see a single reason for this.

You went so far on the wrong side of your thinking I’m not criminal to do black mailing I’m talking to you about a business model which is done by many big sites like trust pilot and advisor where the business owner have to interact with the bad/fake reviews in order to keep their business on and there where the review site make profit as explained, even when I said that I will maybe erase the post/review for money this will only happened if I found it is a fake misleading post so the money will be paid for the erasing action which will not be possible/available for every post
And for the time needed to get popular no one can judge it and if it takes long why not, if any one will listen to you about time to success then no one will do anything!
Again it is a business model where everything is clean and clear and NOT blackmailing so DO NOT say it because I didn’t.

''...if they pay more I may think to erase the whole review (only because I believed that they were badly targeted by some one...''

But these are your own words. Look, man, I don't think you are a criminal of course, I said that I don't like this business model, and I said it's a form of blackmailing - ''you pay more and I erase the review''
TrustPilot and others don't erase reviews for money (I know it for fact), they are just a review websites. But you said you want to create the site DoNotBook.com - don't you see the difference?
Anyways, let's just stop right here. I told my honest opinion because you asked me what I think. Don't get irritated if you don't like my opinion or disagree - that's perfectly fine.

All is fine here too as I explained the issue above, just want to add this fact: trust pilot and advisor will erase a review if the business owner confirmed/proved it is a fake one and request it to be deleted like if the reviewer never dealt with that business so they may do that for free but I’ll put a fixed price for such request as some one will spend hours or days to approve the claim/request of the business owner is true
And when I said “pay more” I meant you will pay again to get the fake review deleted because you already paid to claim the review as a start and all prices will be published and known for every one and nothing on dark.

I’ll blame my bad English and say thank you for your interaction each time
