Oh look, more "extensions".

In the next round ICANN will delegate these and they will either become redundant because the current party wins them, or useless because another party gets the real extensions on the actual root DNS.

I believe it is important to note these are ENS root based extensions ... not DNS, for those who don’t know

I agree that there could be conflict if certain extensions are delegated by ICANN and sold ^ however ... there is a lot of money going into this ^ the potential for massive adoption and “agreement” with ICANN could steer this in a more serious direction

They never go away.
They are “unstoppable”
PromoCity, yet still no universal acceptance

this is backward thinking,
zero problems will be solved on the ethereum by creating these extensions
zero value will be added by creating useless extensions

the good news, is that you know for sure
you don't need to spend any penny with Unstoppable Domains

Again it is important to note the difference in ENS extensions and DNS extensions which are accredited by ICANN

I’m a GTLD investor in exact match keyword GTLDs in extensions that are accredited by ICANN

As an ENS investor; I am not one ... but popular people like Andrew Rosener seem to be promoting and even investing in ENS,

It is no surprise that we usually promote that, which we are invested in ^ and with crypto and DeFi becoming multi billion and trillion dollar industries, further value coming from such an audience is not and should not be opposed ... wether you’re a TLD or a GTLD or a CCTLD investor, we have all been asking for the same thing !

More value to our names and the industry as a whole !

Hi

popularity can influence for sure, and without using that.....
then whatever "they" snagged first in that space, won't have demand or perceived value, unless they herd others in.

just saying...

imo.....

ENS has nothing to do with Unstoppable Domains - Unstoppable Domains is a for-profit clone of ENS that has no traction/isn't used by any big player in the ETH space. The only reason why they "seem" everywhere is that their founder (Tim Draper) is a billionaire who pays for features/news articles etc.

i actually own a .crypto domain, and i am invested in a token project
what i was pointing in this promo,
people who paid 5k$+ should be really concerned about their last campaign

do they really think that when they open the premiums for each of these new extensions, people will again pay 5k$ and upto 100k$

when you start a project like the .crypto
your main mission is to establish this Ethereum-based "domain name"
to get some traction, to the point that the domain will show up in all browsers (actually only Opera support .crypto domain without extension)

their choice is a clear money grab,
seriously they lose credibility when they launch a .888 and a .bitcoin extension and all these others nonsense

Hi Folks - Unstoppable Domains has nothing to do with ENS - although we are both on Ethereum. We're building UNS - the Unstoppable Naming Service. Tim Draper is not a founder, he is an investor in the company.

The company was founded in January, 2018. .Crypto has over 600K domain registration, I think that's some traction :)

Domains are supported in Opera Browser, Brave Browser, and by a Cloudflare DNS resolver. However, the primary use case is for sending crypto. Domains work in Coinbase Wallet, Okcoin, Trust Wallet (Binance), Myetherwallet, and many more.

This tech is pretty different than a traditional domain name because users control domains in their wallet. You are relying on the security of the Ethereum blockchain to secure your domain name, billions of dollars being spent to protect these assets. The system has effectively never been hacked.

The security model is far better than with traditional domains or even traditional usernames like Twitter handles because there's no central server to be hacked - no honeypot. Each user stores their own key.

It's more like your decentralized username for the internet. You can use it to login to apps, receive money, as a website URL, and more. It's a traditional domain on steroids.

Also, this market is potentially much larger than the traditional domain market because they are for consumers, not just businesses.

I know it's tough to imagine how an industry that has been around for 30 years could change this drastically, but it's happened many times before. And the crypto industry is a juggernaut - $1.5T as of today.

Happy to chat more if anyone is curious about how it all works.

Also no renewals - you own them for life. No more renting from domain registries and being concerned about them increasing prices in the future.

These are domains I got from air drop..

Psychedelics.x
Brandables.x
Omniverse.x
Phygital.x
Lenders.x
Esportes.x. (Sports)
Selfmade.x
Wetten.x. (Bet)
Wealthiest.Wallet
Metaversal.Wallet

I like the fact that I actually own these and there is no renewal fees etc...
