Roger Waters is a brilliant poet, I can see how the incessant propaganda thrown at him by the global warming cultists went directly to his heart. It's not too late for him to come to the realization that plants are a carbon based form of life, and their carbon uptake is exclusively from CO2, mainly from air, and that reducing it in the atmosphere directly reduces vegetation growth and contributes to desertification in lands dear to his causes.

It's not just as simple as CO2 input or uptake. CO2 is only one factor of Climate Change. Plants also need water, sunlight and nutrient. Of course, given these and additional CO2 benefits their growth, I know.

Using just a couple variables... higher temps, more evaporation, more evaporation more cloud, more cloud more insolation, more insolation means higher temps etc. Add that to changing albedo in the Arctic and Antarctic - areas which release more heat to space than absorbed, once the ability to reflect that heat back into space (albedo) is diminished, the result is global warming. One has to understand the global dynamic, not just local effects. Shorter winters means longer growing season, but that also raises albedo. It's more complicated than that, but at least you get the idea. Global Warming is far from being a cult, unless Mother Earth is the leader. It's not like the Trump thingy. :xf.wink:

By changing the definition, Dr. Shi told the Times that: “…[H]er experiments differed from gain-of-function work because she did not set out to make a virus more dangerous, but to understand how it might jump across species.”

So, jumping across species doesn’t make it more dangerous? Former CDC Director Explains Lab-Leak Theory With Logic and Warns the WHO Is a Beijing Propaganda Arm

There isn't now, nor has there ever been difinitive proof that Covid-19 was lab created. I'm not ruling out the possibility, but it is more likely the rumour that was started by Trump and his associates to put pressure on China. Of course China isn't off the hook, they haven't exactly been co-operative, which only allowed the theory (not fact) to grow wings. For instance at a press conference on April 30, 2020, Trump said the administration had evidence showing Covid-19 came from a lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, although he declined to provide specifics. “I can’t tell you that. I’m not allowed to tell you that,” Trump said.

Days later, on May 3, Pompeo revealed to the public “This Week” that there was “enormous evidence” that Covid-19 came from the lab.

Bunch of concocting liars if you ask me. What evidence? Show us. How come they're still investigating? :xf.confused:

Right. You guys even have saints.

It's all about power grab, money grab with the carbon tax racket, even pure land grab like

The iconic American suburban neighborhoods that attract families looking for safe and prosperous areas have been targeted in recent years – first from those who believe zoning is a racist tactic to keep certain people out of the neighborhoods. [Breitbart]
And now a report from the left-leaning Brooking Institute is claiming that the “unsustainable” nature of the suburbs means they must be transformed in the name of preventing climate change.

i do agree 1000%. … however .. aside from them killing me … I will never be getting that shot …. But you are exactly right .. their proceeding forward is all about the vaccine

I may be wrong … but I do not think they will get 70% of the US to take that vaccine .. however .. if they are able to get 70% to take it voluntarily… there is no doubt in my mind that they will come for the 30% that didn’t take it .. at that point it won’t upset the masses that forced inoculation would happen .. I also believe that 70% goal by them is to know they can fully move forward and introduce a one world government and new world order .. and at that 70% point .. they know their will be very little resistance ..

I don't think 70% of the US are dumb enough to take the shot. I could be wrong but, so far a lot of people have not gotten the shot yet.

Why are you so adamant against carbon tax, especially carbon border tax? It works both ways with carbon credits.

Domestic firms whose products may be more expensive because of tougher regulations or other costs get credit in the form of a tax rebate when those goods are exported. So it mitigates the disadvantages they face on global markets. That's why certain groups, like U.S. domestic steel producers embrace it.

As far as money grab, Trump's trumped up rhetoric about Covid was a red-herring to build more nukes etc. Can you imagine if the Nazi's had nukes? Are we going to have WW3 take up where WW2 left off?

Your attempts at slander are baseless and far from being truthful.

that very symbol I have seen on people wearing t-shirts and those pull up mask things …. That is pure treason IMO …. Obviously people who wear that could possibly be a threat to America ..

Your position can be very confusing .. are you a moderate left ?? Progressive left?? Straight Socialism ??? Hopefully not wishing for Marxism ???

I hope you are right .. that would draw the line in the sand if only say 50% of the whole country elects to vaccinate ..

I fall somewhere on the left mainly due to environmental consciousness and global perspective. I'm definitely not a Marxist, but the alt-right would like to paint me as such. I also have some aspects of right-wing as an entrepreneur and running corporate business. So I try to maintain a balanced perspective, it's hard to run on one leg.

Straight socialism- sounds like you just created a new gender type:) We need to have a talk:)

Otherwise they are all the same just different phases of the same ideology.

Don't wink to me like that, because I'm shy!

I used to think you had some legitimate debating points, but you've only sunk deeper down the rabbit hole.
This reminds me of lennco's reaction when I wrote "plandemic" sometimes last year. Your web of deceptions is very see through okay, don't get yourself high on it.

Why are you so adamant against carbon tax, especially carbon border tax?
You're going in circles and making me repeat myself in the same page. Because the carbon tax is a racket, a money grab operation, all based on fake science that's bought and paid for.
Quoting from an older article now:

The cap-and-trade racket [The Week]

Who says Democrats wish to take from the poor to give to the rich?
In practice, they much prefer to take from everyone to give to their friends!
In the name of environmental protection, Democrats are readying just such a transfer on a scale that would have impressed the Pharaohs. Tens of billions of dollars, possibly hundreds of billions, will be shifted from American consumers of electricity to shareholders of favored utility companies in primarily blue states.

...
In theory, the cap-and-trade system operates with remarkable elegance. The government sets a limit on the total amount of carbon that may be emitted in the United States – that’s the “cap.” Companies then bid to buy emission rights. Efficient companies that reduce their carbon emissions to levels beneath allowable limits can resell their unused emission rights to companies that exceed their limits – that’s the “trade.” Over time, the cap is steadily lowered, thereby reducing carbon emissions in the most cost-effective way.

As I said, that’s the theory -- at least until it meets the giant favor-selling machine knows as the U.S. Congress.

This is from today:

Swiss Nix Carbon Tax Just Before Biden Arrival [WSJ]
Just like everywhere else, voters are open to anti-carbon policy until they see the price tag.

Talk about awkward. Right after President Joe Biden and other leaders of advanced economies celebrated their expensive climate promises in Brussels, Mr. Biden had to fly to Switzerland—where voters have just rejected expensive climate promises made by the country’s politicians.

Most realists would understand the need to view environmental consideration as equal with economic and societal needs.

Keep your carbon south of the border then, lol. I'm sure your tax system is set up defferently than here in Canada (or in Switzerland). I actually got a carbon refund and can claim credits due to living green. In Alberta, the average taxpayer receives even more benefit, though the carbon-based oil industry pays.

@Namersen It is true, you can become placated with some temporary green redistribution monies so you don't realize (willful blindness) how much of an actual impact carbon taxes are causing. Society is too easy to control and our girl is voting with and for a pocket full of green initiative motivational notes:)

Nobody is refuting that reality, it's just that the same old same old is no longer a sustainable model. Can you not think outside your box?

Speaking of walls, Trump's border wall is a disaster waiting to happen. He hired contractors, not structural engineers. It is a project that WILL go wrong. It's not effective and it's not cheap. Like this part which blew over...

Quite the psyop dems and the media are pulling off, some of them should be investigated for elder abuse, starting with his wife.
As an elder suffering from dementia, Biden can be a sympathetic figure, that is until he notices kids and goes for a sniff.

Interesting how you keep bringing up Trump's wall but never voice any regular human compassion against the open border policy and its results - crime, trafficking in women, kids, drugs. You are a true friend to the ones suffering.... Immigrants , legal and illegal, will have a larger carbon footprint in America than if they stayed in their countries of origin.

‘Pure insanity’: emails reveal Trump push to overturn election defeat

The documents reveal Trump and his allies’ increasingly desperate efforts between December and early January to push bogus conspiracy theories and cling to power – and the struggle of bewildered justice department officials to resist them.

“These documents show that President Trump tried to corrupt our nation’s chief law enforcement agency in a brazen attempt to overturn an election that he lost,” said Carolyn Maloney, chair of the House of Representatives’ oversight committee, which released the emails on Tuesday.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jun/15/emails-reveal-trump-push-overturn-election-defeat

Congress also is investigating the deadly 6 January attack on the US Capitol by a mob of Trump supporters trying to stop the formal certification of Biden’s election victory. The White House has published its first ever national strategy for countering domestic terrorism five months after a violent mob stormed the US Capitol in Washington.

“The most urgent terrorism threat the United States faces today”.

An expert assessment of the threat provided by intelligence and law enforcement, a summary of which was released in March, found that its two most deadly elements are white supremacists and anti-government violent extremists.
