The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So puzl.com is not pronounceable?
He changed his original post after my comment. From the start it only said CVZL. Not that C was consonants and V was vowels.

No

The “Radio Test” really is the best way to get a good idea of whether a LLLL.com is pronounceable or not. If your LLLL.com was mentioned on the radio, would listeners be able to spell it without difficulty? It’s better to ask other people than to try and determine this yourself — most of us will be inherently biased towards our own LLLL.coms.

In general, the best performing letters are: A, S, E, M, D, I, T, O. Other strong letters include F, G, H. The letters J,K,Q,U,V,W,X,Y,Z are referred as non-premium letters. The presence of one of these letters considerably devalues a 4 letter .com under most circumstances. Of these, Q, X, Z are the weakest.

Cheers
Corey

It can be pronounceable if you teach site users how to pronounce it. But it would be a long shot if you are selling this as pronounceable.

As a straight 4L, it’s something like third tier, having only one vowel and not universally considered pronounceable, as people here have made clear. If the buyer is willing to look at it flexibly as a brand, though, such domains have possibilities…

I sat down in my room in the duke’s CAZL and my dog walked up to NUZL me, which is preferable to when he’s growling and aggressive, in which case I MUZL him. I took out a PUZL book to enjoy. Then I placed a call to my friend Isaac, who is engaged to be married. “MAZL TOV!” I said. Probably it’ll be a fancy wedding with all the RAZL DAZL of formal dress and entertainment. I hope his relationship doesn’t FIZL out.
Soon he’ll come over and I’ll put steaks on the grill to SIZL. The next day I met the fiancee, so young she makes Isaac look like a FOZL.

Sometimes “Y”’tricky letter, that “Y”...

Y can either be “C” or “V”!

Ignore the CVCV Kool-Aid and just ask yourself “doesnit look good”?
CZVL (See? Already forgot it. Not good... Still “liquid” even worst one of 456,976 unique ones and despite not “pronounceable” take solace classified “liquid” domain, still ~$100 imo :)

@Samer

When dealing with pronounceable 4 letter .coms, the question often arises whether the letter “Y” takes on the properties of a consonant or those of a vowel. When dealing with CVCVs, a “Y” found in the 4th position is often considered to take on the properties of a vowel and when found in the 2nd position, the role of a consonant.

Y’s often result in very strong sales, regardless of their consonant/vowel status in CVCV type LLLL.com's, however it’s best to stick with a CVCY pattern for maximum end user and reseller potential. If offered 2 comparable CVCV, the one without a “Y” is usually a better choice.

Cheers

When I saw the title of the thread I immediately said "no way"

But after reading some of the posts it appears the "C" represents a Consonant, and the "V" represents a Vowel

So in that case, I would say it is somewhat pronounceable...

RAZL
PUZL
FIZL
BEZL
etc...

CVZL pronounceable? Wholly dependent on your language. English no. Just no. Other languages maybe. Hungarian. Serbian. Croatian. Bosnian. Slovenian. Slovakian. Czech. Ask the Czechoslovakian Centre of Development and Test Laboratories if it's pronounceable. https://www.cvzl.cz. Send them an email. Seriously. I do random things like that all the time.

CVZL is not even remotely pronounceable. I can't even understand why you have to ask that question.

I don't think people should be dissuaded from asking questions mate. Even if the answer is it's not pronounceable. What's obvious to you as a pro might not be obvious to him as a newbie. Personally I found this thread very interesting.
